    Every source is saying we’re in talks with him and are the only European team still in the running who have made a concrete offer. There’s nothing to suggest he’s playing us and will end up at the huns.

    Fair enough about GG. I would be fine with him staying. Proven weapon.

    The Huns won't get Jo. He's researched us, and knows we've at least had 2 Koreans in the past. If he asked them, they'll tell him we are a welcoming club. Rangers? He'll be pointed to virulently racist jokes Huns cracked about Nakamura, and the 2 Koreans.

    Yes, A good portion of Koreans don't like Japanese people. But Jo will realize that Huns lump all East Asians into the same bin. He'll go to Mainz or Minnesota if he's scared of our 6 samurai. To Rangers, just to spite us? No way.

    And I'm sure Ange knows about these historical issues between the two nations. He'll have given Jo assurances.

    It’s obvious his current club and agent think he’s next Korean / Asian wonder boy following his goals at the WC and want £££££

    In fairness to the player, he has repeatedly made it clear he wants a move to Europe but he’s under contract and it’s in the interests of his club / agent to generate a bidding war.

    Only thing I’m certain of, in no world does he choose the Huns over us.

    I’d expect us to move on to the next target if there isn’t any progress over the next week or so.
