Did your wife leave you for Lawwell’s heated driveway?

TBF, I’d say the USA is the bigger of the two shitholes :giggle1: That said, when it was -15C in Seoul the other day, I was questioning why I was there, let alone a full city of people :giggle1:

I’m not sure that he’s holding out on us, might be us telling him to hold on until GG gets his move. @McGrory1888 might know where this one’s at. However, in the meantime he’s got a bit more interest since we’ve opened our bid and his club has said he’s available for sale now.

That’s the issue seems to be the clubs in Korea have been a nightmare to deal with, ji-sung park did meet with us in London and at that point am pretty sure most people thought the deal was in the bag

Agreed. It's turned into a circus. Let's start focusing on other targets.

Kind of like agreeing to sell your house to someone, then another buyer gets the regrets for missing out and then comes in and gazumps you. Poor business practice if that’s what the Korean club is doing.

I’ve been wanting Cho from the very start but time to move on now. His club are just continually delaying to get more money.

    Move on to Tengstedt

Apparently Minnesota (MLS) have said they will then facilitate a move to Europe to him. Generally from what I can read and see Korean culture will dictate he goes to MLS as the package has many caveats from what I can see in the media. Am sure we will offer some too

Test that theory. A £4m bid wouldn’t be sniffed it by them.

As much as I love Minnesota as a state as I've got family there, for a player like him who's got enough decent interest from European clubs, it would be strange to move to a football team that is no one's first name when you think of MLS.

Talk that they would then facilitate a move to your Europe for him, when he can just sign directly for European club seems like an over complicated move.

However I must admit, if he's a big family man and that means a great deal to them, I can 100% understand the incredible appeal to being offered a strong wage along with green cards for my family

His family would still have to adapt. And find a job. Minnesota is not San Francisco with loads of Koreans around.

I’d call their bluff and offer the 4 million I. For a penny in for a pound he will be worth it in the long run

the length of time this is taking would lead me to believe that we have already moved on to another target.id guess we have tried to get this done at the same time as the other 3 it probably shouldnt have dragged out as long as this.its maybe a welcome distraction to keep the media busy while we get on with something else

Too much pish surrounding this one so don’t think it’ll happen. Out transfers are usually done pretty quickly these days and without too much talk in the media. They are usually announced a good bit before anyone expects it to be.

Without making any assertions or accusations whatsoever..

it is incredibly unfortunate timing for Lawwell that he comes back just as we begin to take longer.

From the rumours (emphasis on rumours) we’ve made slightly lower bids and are slowly working our way up, and now other parties are entering the fray.

They could be completely made up but like I say it’s unfortunate optics for Lawwell that it starts happening just as he becomes chairman.
