If he doesn’t come here because he doesn’t want competition with Kyogo then would be best avoided anyway.

He’ll come here to prove himself in Europe and get CL football, no doubt Ange could talk just about any player into moving here and most Asian players don’t prioritise money.

True. We have probably gotten the green light from Jeonbuk withour improved offer, but Gyu-seong has stated early on he wants playing time. We must give strong assurances and present a clear picture to him of what he'll get from us, and help with adjustment.

Mainz play in a better league, have injuries to their strike force which is not prolific, and one of their mainstays is a Korean international MF/winger. We have immediate CL access from next season, solid coaching, less pressure coming from the club's league position, but also, a settled first choice striker in great form in the position Gyu-seong wants.

Unlike Souza however, this guy has spoken positively of us.

No chance. 1-they couldn't afford both his fee and wages and 2- they've already got 3-4 strikers and 3- if its a straight up choice between us and them I'd suggest he take one look at the league table
