Cheating Bastards or an Anomaly (Celtic Penalty Stats Vs Other Teams)

Since Var has that been 5 penalties against us and at least 3 shouldn't have been , and probs the huns should have 3 or 5 against thats not been given?

 

Yeah some of our refs are just really wildly *, and will always be the case as long as they're part time, if it was a full time gig we could attract a much wider and bigger pool of talent and they'd be forced to up their game to keep the top jobs.

There are some obvious shamelessly biased * that cant hide it like Beaton, Walsh and Madden before and they're the ones skweing the figures massively, but I don't think it's a grand conspiracy involving every single ref, just individuals who are * at it and know there's not going to be any repercussions, because scottish football is run by a barrel of fannies with no real desire to improve the standard of our game.

 

League penalties since the start of 2017/18 of teams from England, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Netherlands and Scotland who have finished at least 2nd in the League in that time.

Celtic, PSG and Man City are the only teams who have won the League 4 times in these seasons. Celtic, PSG, Man City, Ajax and Porto are the only teams who never finished outside the top 2 in their League. Ajax and Porto have 4 less League games a season than Celtic, Man City and PSG so have probably played 20-25 less games. If Ajax and Porto had played the same number of games as the other 3 most dominant teams Porto would probably have had 44 penalties and Ajax 53.

 

I think if Celtic take these stats to SFA and UEFA along with the individual cases of ‘incompetence’ we might actually see something done.

We’ve all said on here it’s been clear the cheating went into overdrive over the last few years. Those numbers don’t lie.

They’ve been so * and needed so much help that they’ve * the statistics and exposed the corruption.

 

Penalty difference in the League 2000-01 till 2011/12 and then 2016-17 till now (All seasons with one of the huns in the League)

Celtic +60 penalty difference (Penalties awarded minus penalties conceded)
Huns +95 penalty difference

During those seasons Celtic have had 152 more points than them and 181 goal difference better than them. Celtic have topped the League in 13 of the 19 seasons.

Would love someone to take those stats to Clyde ssb....the excuses would at least be hilarious.

 

Someone needs to look at the data going back since the time they returned to the PL. Then you need metrics to measure and then the data to compare...you need an analyst or statistican to give a true answer to this question, until then noone with authority is taking it seriously.

 

It probably would take a mind numbing amount of time.

But just using the EPL as an example, do we know what the net pen totals are for the last 5 seasons?

Either way it really does seem a bit dubious that Huns are like an exception to the rule where those at the top are typically the league winners.

Also, Italy seems to be well balanced with barely much difference between them at the top end of the table

 

Posted these stats in the honest mistakes thread but would be suited here as well.

If the huns weren't given any penalties in the 21/22 season, they would have dropped a total of 10pts.
If we weren't given any penalties in the 21/22 season, we would have dropped zero points.



Already this season, they would have dropped 8pts.

And again, we would have dropped zero.

Aye an argument could be made that they play for penalties more than us (not even mentioning how we've all seen the dodgy decisions they get)

The most blatant thing about it is how unlikely we are to get a penalty when points are on the line. If we're already 2/3-0 up aye thats fine, but when its a close game absolutely not.

Another argument aswell is look how we are below hearts a team that has a lot less shot and heat play in the opponents box than Celtic the type of stats that come along with high rates of penalty kick example fouls and hand ball deflections ….. the fact hearts are in front of us on arhat net table also shows as much as the refs are giving rangers way more pens than the should be getting they are deliberately not giving Celtic stonewall penalties
