re watched and have to say we actually coped well when he went off and retained control. It was Hart * up that changed things for us and at that point once we lost control was when we felt Taylors absence.

    Usual hyperbole, I see.

The turning point for Sevco was Hart messing about with the ball, which gave them a bit of oomph and hope.

Yes, they had more joy down the left hand side. But that was down to a want away RB playing there.

In saying that, we need another LB in if Ange feels Bernabei isn’t ready for these types of games.

Bernabei was ill, Alan Morrison said he and Jota suffered worst from the bug on the Huddle Breakdown podcast. No issue there.

As for Taylor, it amazes me if you genuinely don't think that changed the game. Although then again it doesn't, given your strange resistance to accepting his importance to the team.

We went from dominating their right-side defensively and going forward to Maeda not having a sniff and Sakala terrorising us. What do you think the common factor is there?

We’ve played before without Taylor and not fallen apart.

The trouble down the left came from Juarnovic’s abhorrent performance.

I think we all know the answer: Peter Lawwell.

You're right, Juranovic's performance is what gave us trouble. He had to perform because Taylor went off, hence Taylor going off being the catalyst for us falling out of the game.

We have played fine without Taylor before, but it should be noted never against proper opposition ever since his remarkable upturn in performances and form. He played every big match for us at left back in 2022 basically. The one tough game he didn't start, Tynecastle this season, he came off the bench and again changed the game.

No but he had little impact until we lost control of the game which happened from when Hart acted the donkey, not when Taylor left the field.

Taylor absence hurt us, but it was manageable while we had momentum and control of things. When we lost that thanks to Hart they punished us and we didn't have Taylor to steady ship on the left.

A new chapter in the Taylor overrating: Juarnovic, the natural left back.

    Honest to *.

I don't even understand what you mean here. Are you saying I said Juranovic was a natural left back? If so, I didn't. I genuinely have no clue what you're getting at.

This explains why Bernabei didn't come in. however, there was one more option that I'd have gone for over playing Juranović at LB. Hatate has plenty of experience there, and Mooy was coming in at some point anyway. I know this is a topic about Taylor, but Hatate could have done a shift and prevented the defensive woes you speak of.

At that point in the game, Hatate was absolutely bossing it in the middle of the park. Would have been lunacy to move him.

The Hibs fella on the left gave Hatate quite a few problems with his pace, so it's likely he would have struggled against Sakala. Plus, we all know that if that happened, everybody would have been slaughtering Ange for leaving Jura on the bench.

Jura was the right call given his experience and supposed professionalism IMO, it's just that he didn't perform anywhere close to how he was expected to.

Greg Taylor injury timeline revealed as Celtic left-back set for spell on sidelines
Celtic left-back Greg Taylor faces at least two weeks out with a hamstring injury.

The Scotland international went off in the first half of Celtic’s 2-2 draw with Rangers on Monday after aggravating a problem he had experienced in his previous match.

Ahead of Saturday’s cinch Premiership contest with Kilmarnock, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou said: “Greg has got a slight hamstring (injury) so we got a scan. It’s not too serious but he will definitely miss a couple of weeks.

Thats actually much better news then I expected. When he went off I was thinking he was likely out for maybe 6 weeks or so. So only missing 2 games and those next 2 being against Kilmarnock is not bad at all.

We will miss Greg for sure, but I am relieved it is only for two weeks.
I am sure Bernabei will step in and do a good job for us in the meantime.
