Exactly. We'd evolved from when he left first time - and that's fine. Coming in as caretaker when Rogers left was sensible but Lawwell and Desmond were as culpable as Lennon for the demise of 10iar. He should never have been given the job full time, it was a lazy appointment.

Should've been sacked way sooner as well, but as said - it's a good job Ange didn't take long to turn us around again.

Two separate things. One is some in the Scottish government was against us. Second is the tests for covid where all sent to loyalist east Belfast to confirm who did, and who didn't have covid. Strangely enough, all the Huns came back clear. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why this is.

By all accounts though, he tried to punt Eddy and Ajer at the start of the season to start a rebuild, and wasn’t allowed off of the Board because they found it too big a risk going into the 10 season.

He absolutely * it but the rot at the club went very deep at the time. Nicholson and Ange between them have done a * miraculous job

Neil Lennon is the biggest reason we capitulated. He failed to remove any bad eggs from the dressing room or use man management skills to keep them motivated for a season. That's on him. His signings were * awful. His brand of football was dire. His public comments and constant digs of Celtic fans were a disgrace as well. The guy acted like a * and managed like an *.

You're allowed to like the guy and still recognise he was out of his depth.

How can I not compare two Celtic managers? Lennon left Ange with a * of a squad. Ange came in, won a double and got us playing an attractive brand of football. Ange is everything Lennon wishes he was.

And there wasn't an agenda. We were just * abysmal. Do you think the European refs had an agenda as well when Sparta Prague's B team cuffed us 4-1 twice?

No, not for me. I do understand he should have done things differently which in hindsight is a wonderful thing but it isn't solely at his door why it ended up a *. How others can't see there was an agenda against us is mind-blowing. If that's the case then us Celtic supporters must be all off our heads on paranoia throughout every season we play and the officials all do their job as honestly as they can while the media gives the same.

There was a few bad eggs thst season. All greedy * IMO thst should have give us one last push for something that would have went down in history for us who took the chance on them during their career. If them * hadn't of thrown the dummy out of the pram we'd have got through all the other *.

I'm not one for saying Lennon is better or even on par with Ange. That would be stupid of me. Ange has it to be an elite manager if given the chance. All I'm saying is you can't compare them two seasons. And with that said, Lennon has some attributes that Ange has with being a stubborn man who speaks his mind. Everyone is on a high with Ange now and cream their panties when he speaks to the media with taking no *. Lenny was similar! All it takes is for us to go through a bad spell, lose the league and the Celtic supporters will turn on him similar to what Lennon got because what Ange won't do, is back down even if we are on his back. He'll speak his mind like Lennon did and the supporters will take the negative from it and will have the pitch forks out. Celtic supporters can be * savages when they turn against their own without looking at things from all angles. Best supporters in the world. We are in my bolloks! Thsts just something we like to preach every now and again. It's similar to the going to a concert and hearing from whoever's playing saying to the crowd your the best they ever seen while on the other cheek laughing at them all because they do it everywhere they go! You just have to read the forums and other social media sites to see sometimes were no different than other supporters!

Like I've said many a times on here. It's time to put it all behind us. Draw a line and move on and stop this savagery Lennon is getting from supposedly his own. If anyone thinks Lennon didn't want that 10 and he didn't give his all for it then they are off their heads! There's a human factor in it also carrying the weight of it. Let the man move on from that season like we all should do. For whst he gives us, it's the least he deserves!

Them other * got us from every angle thst season and won! They now sit back in laughter at us all fighting amongst ourselves over it and turned on Lennon while they are still at it this season with trying to keep them scum * in a title race.

Myself and others have said over and over again, it's not missing out on winning 10 that's the issue, the same 'agenda' of hun * refs was there long before and after him, it's the way Lennon behaved the things he said during and after that make people dislike him, but you have you pump out an essay on why he's actually a top guy.

Obviously this is a place for discussion and opinions, lots of people feel differently about players and managers, but I genuinely don't understand Lennon cheerleaders at this point. You're off your * head, or just at it.

He's not a top guy though which is the biggest thing these cheerleaders are incapable of seeing

I think it's a misguided sense of loyalty to a guy who was otherwise successful for the club. His complete refusal to accept any responsibility for our failings shows an astounding lack or awareness, or arrogance. Either way it doesn't show him in a good light.

The mental gymnastics to try and paint Lennon as a good manager in here is unreal. He’s a dinosaur, stuck in the 90s British mindset.

He’s not even a proper Celtic man, he supported Liverpool by all accounts growing up and almost signed for the huns in his youth. He was targeted for his religion and playing for us as a Northern Irishman. Not because he was some unrepentant *.

I wish it ended differently for him here but it was entirely his own doing.

Neil Lennon has refused to rule out returning to Celtic as manager for a third time.

The 51-year-old was last in charge of the club during the Covid lockdown season, which saw fans shut out of stadiums.

He was eventually sacked in February 2020 after the club's ten-in-a-row dream was shattered and Rangers went on to lift the the league under Steven Gerrard.

He of course enjoyed a previous stint during his first spell in charge of the club between 2010 and 2014.

Of course, his second time as manager was a successful period as well, despite the way things ended. He won five trophies out of seven during that time.

While he admits it's unlikely he would be back at Parkhead for another shot as No.1, Lennon insists 'never say never'.

He told Football Odds: "I've had a great privilege to manage Celtic over six years in two different stints, but at the minute, Ange Postecoglou is a great manager who is doing a great job.

"I'll never say never to re-joining Celtic, but at the moment it's a long way off."

The Northern Irishman went on to speak about the current Celtic team.

He's a huge admirer of Ange Postecoglou and the work he's carried out since arriving in Glasgow in the summer of 2021.

As well as the manager, Lenny is also a big fan of Kyogo - a player he wishes he had under his wing during his time in charge.

He added: "I like all the current Celtic players, I really like Kyogo Furuhashi and he's one of the players I would have liked to have in my squad.

"He's so clinical with all kinds of finishes and has great movement, he's my favourite player at the minute.

"Postecoglou does not need any advice at the moment with the job he's doing. He'll be looking at improving the team, performances and his own personal record.

"The football they play is spectacular, they have a great mentality as shown in the Old Firm where they got a goal out of nothing. I'd suggest to enjoy the big occasions."

Neil Lennon has revealed that he had to act as a "father figure" to some of his players during his last spell in charge.

He insists his second period as Hoops manager was a success despite the way things ended in the 2020/21 campaign.

This was the season that the Hoops were looking to achieve the much-sought after ten-in-a-row.

Of course, things didn't go to plan and Rangerslifted the title. Lennon lost his job in February 2021 after a toxic few months for the Parkhead club.

In a wide-ranging sit down with Football Odds, the 51-year-old lifted the lid on various topics relating to Celtic.

And he revealed that coronavirus affected things badly at the club.

He said: "It was difficult playing during the pandemic, I could have done things a little differently but it was an unprecedented time for everyone. It was a time when things were out of your control.

"Having no fans in the stadium had a massive effect, Covid-19 was affecting the players too who were a long way from home.

"My second spell was successful with five trophies out of seven, we were flying before Covid kicked in, but we had to start all over again.

"I had to become a sort of father figure to some of the players and I visited them because they would have come from different countries. No supporters in the stadium and in the streets took a toll on a lot of the players.

With no money around at the time, clubs couldn't buy players who wanted a new challenge.

"The fans are so important to Celtic, particularly on the Champions League and on European nights, they make a huge difference.

"In the team I played in, our record at Celtic Park was excellent, and that's down to the fans. You miss them when you play in away games, they're so unique."

Lenny went on to admit that while he feels it's unlikely he will return as No.1 at Parkhead, he would never fully rule it out.

He added: "I've had a great privilege to manage Celtic over six years in two different stints, but at the minute, Ange Postecoglou is a great manager who is doing a great job.

"I'll never say never to re-joining Celtic, but at the moment it's a long way off."

Must be of ma head then mate. Why would anyone show support for a man that gave * knows how many years to celtic as player and manager winning shitloads despite being the target of the bigots throughout. Could easily have walked away at any time but stuck with us and actually shone a spotlight on the unacceptable sectarian behaviour, not only of rangers fans but fans at other clubs as well.
He didn't shy away from them either, he hated these *, and despite the death threats, let them know about it.
Now we have celtic supporters hating him because we didnae win 10 in a row and some comments he made about supporters who were demonstrating outside celtic Park, verbally abusing players, weeks after winning the quadruple treble.

But aye, I must be off ma head.

I would like to be able to say that he’ll eventually be welcomed back as a guest, but he keeps making it difficult for himself.

    Never again as manager.
