Felt sorry for him to be honest when juranovic came on but could understand the reasoning. If I was him I'd be pretty annoyed given the performance of josip now.

 

I think Juranovic did in this game exactly what Ange thought Bernabei would do.

i.e. completely forget how the Huns play and how to mark their wingers.

10 yards off Sakala for absolutely no reason for that first goal. Basic stuff.

JJ just wasn’t on this planet.

 

Feel sorry for him, but JJ has played LB for us and Croatia just fine before so I can see why Ange might have opted for the more experienced player in a game like this. I don't think any of us saw that level of performance coming.

If Taylor is out for a bit now he has to step up and grab his chance with both hands.

 

In those team mates videos, the players often mention Juranovic as one of the fastest in the team.

 

Aye, just not sure Bernabei would be too far off him.

 

Aye you're probably right, so I assume Juranovic's experience came into Ange's thinking too.

 

I'm fairly sure a Bernabei that is trying would be faster than a JJ that isn't, which is what we appear to have had today.

There are rumours of a bug in the camp. I wonder if he was one of those who could possibly give us 30 minutes if totally necessary and that was why he didn't come on? In saying that JJ made his debut at Ipox at left back and was excellent so may have been in Anges mind?

I can see why Ange went with Juranovic to be fair, Bernabei had a shocker at Tynecastle and today is a similar sort of game/atmosphere.

He needs a run in the team now though if Taylor is going to be out for any period of time which I’d imagine he will be given it’s a hamstring injury.

 

This. The next two games are against Killie (League & then LC), then St M (Lg) & Morton (SC), all of which at home. Perfect opportunity and run of games for him.

 

Bottom line here is Ange made the wrong call.
Hindsight is, as they say, a wonderful thing, but Berna came on against Hibs the other night and was in contention for one of the MOTM's...whereas JJ is a right back.

That to me is Neil Lennon level man management. Big man has to take a lot of flack for that decision, along with a few others. In Hindsight.

Hoping that Berna gets a shout next game and the guys who have their sights set elsewhere get punted ASAP.

 

Hasn't done a thing wrong whenever he's played, so must've felt like a bit of a boot in the baws when he never go the nod after Taylor injury.

Proved absolutely the wrong decision as well, as JJ was honking and at fault for the 1st goal.

Ange doesn't get much wrong, but he did here.

 

Needs game time, simple as.

 

That must be a blow to the confidence today, wouldn’t be bad if Jura didn’t have a * nightmare but an unfit right back getting the nod before you, and then having a nightmare, can’t be good for his confidence.

If Taylor’s out for a while, it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts to it.

 

Don’t want him going back to Argentina and telling all his pals no to sign for Celtic

 

Jura’s proved more than capable at left back before now. The fact is though, Ange said himself before the game he wasn’t fit. Bad call from Ange.
