James Forrest

Utter pish.

I always defend him but he's been dog * in the big games for too long.

Good for the spl but huns and Europe, I think he suits the bench.

 

What possessed Ange to start him today only he knows. An empty-jersey yet again against a hun team. I actually think he has something left to offer and his contribution over the years often doesn't get the credit it deserves but I never want to see him start against them ever again.

 

In fairness he actually has had some decent Euro games - it's just against the Huns where he is absolutely awful. Like he's often the worst player on the park against them.

 

It's baffling. When you think about what Roberts and Abada have done against them from the right. Puts Forrest to shame really.

Roberts ripped them to shreds every time he played against them. Think he ended up with 6 assists in 2 years.

You could say in mitigation that it wasn't a great Hun team. Fair point. But that makes Forrest's contribution against them during the same period even more grim.

And it's not that he's just quiet against them, he's absolutely terrible with nearly everything he does. Passing, control, shooting, decision making. Going by a man. All atrocious.

I can only assume that this virus going round the squad which was confirmed beforehand had some impact on the team selection today.

 

Off it today and should have been Abada. I still think he has a role to play but today was not one of those days.

 

I know Abada and Jota were sick, but even in that state they would have been better then him. That's not a criticism in Ange's decision (for this particular issue), but a criticism of Forrest. He should only be wheeled out when we play the SPFL dross, but not for any big matches.

If the illnesses were that bad we'd have have been just as well starting Kyogo down the right and Giakoumakis upfront.

Then bring on Abada and Jota for second half.

Forrest has been an unreal servant for the club. He just isn't worth playing against the huns though.

 

Love the wee man for all he's gave us but he's done.

 

He's been mostly fine in the games he's played this season, he just has a complete mental block when it comes to this mob. It's pretty crazy how few genuinely decent games he's had against them in his time here.

 

Glad to have him involved in the squad due to his experience, but should never be starting that today.

Still hearing clueless fannies saying he's never turned up in big games/hun games etc. * that have obviously never watched a game of football in their puff.

Would love to watch these rockets eat their own * like weetabix drenched in their own pish like milk.

That said Jamesy was thee most pointless footballer of all time today, and big Ange deserves a major bollocking for that *.

 

If he started as some form of protection for Johnston then we’d have been better off with Maeda on the right and either Jota or Abada on the left. Maeda contributes far more defensively than Forrest does.

Thought he was pish tbh, Barasic has been utterly roasted by Abada every time in the past few games and is a total diddy shitebag yet Forrest didn’t manage to beat him once. Played one decent ball into the box that Kyogo should have hit, but other than that he was a man down.

Bizarre decision to play him considering the damage that Jota and Abada have done to hun full backs since they’ve been here.

 

* possessed Ange to start him. I am a big fan of Jamesy and he has been decent recently but he never plays well against them, especially at their pit. Surely John Kennedy would have told Ange this. And he should have been hooked at HT. Their LB is mince and there we are with Abada and Jota sitting on the bench.

 

He’s turned up in big games, but there’s absolutely no denying that he stinks the place out 90% of the time he plays against the huns.

His record against them is atrocious for an attacker.

 

Very puzzling this decision of playing him ahead of Abada.
Struggling to find any rationale behind it.

 

Rotten. Big mistake by Ange starting him but we move on.

He'll still play a part this season, but it hopefully won't be in games like yesterday.

 

Mouseheart strikes again. Great stats over the years and a good servant. I would have gotten rid of him years ago though.

He's looked surprisingly decent as a sub recently, but he often has these wee moments where he scores and assists, then reverts to the dictionary definition of an empty jersey.
