I totally get why he started Forrest and Maeda today. And also if Jota and Abada weren't 100% (sickness bug apparently) then it's definitely the right call. Was bang on at half-time.

It’s hard to tell if he was trying to throw a curveball and hope we got a win and he would look like some genius. Or we played who was feeling fittist if there was a bug going about.

To throw Forrest in to a a game at the toughest away venue with a lot on the line. A guy that has probably started about 5 games for him in his season and a half here? And leave 2 wingers on the bench notorious for ripping them to shreds. Just doesn’t make sense.

it's not hard and it does make sense, some of the boys, including Jota, are sick. No need to overthink it.

I think Forrest has been okay this season and he probably wanted to make sure someone was supporting Johnston down that side, since putting balls onto the fullbacks is the only strategy Beale has.

In hindsight they were so * they couldn’t even do that until the second half, and even then only on Juranovic’s side since he wasn’t at the game at all.

I don’t think Ange got it wrong today. The team played poorly in the final third in the first half and in the second half JJ sold the jersey which rocked the team.

He could arguably have had GG on earlier which helped make the difference in the end. Kyogo got the goal but was fairly hopeless outside that so there’s that too.

Some of the players are letting Ange down at the moment for whatever reason, but we’re still doing okay. I think we’ll sort it this month and have a great second half of the season.

100% correct to play Forrest if abada and Jota are unwell... Maybe he showed a lack of faith in bernabei but JJ is a world cup bronze medal winner who done a job at left back away to them. Top guy and top manager.

I think you can blame him with Forrest, we had another two much better wingers on the bench, have been match fit for weeks so no issues with illness.

If he would have started with Jota on the right we have them beat in the first half.

The difference he made coming on was frightening.

Didn’t this big or illness thing happen weeks ago? Both Jota and Abada have seemed fine when they have both come in as sub’s recently.

Love how quick he shuts Media up.. In Scotland that sky clown asking how does beale comments saying we didn't win league last season it was gifted because he and Gerrard left. Another hurting sky *

Not just hindsight, Forrest generally plays * against them. Time and time again.Today wasn’t any different.

Honking decision to leave out our best creative winger against them.

Yeah but Ange probably thought he'd seen enough from him in recent performances to give him a start.. in hindsight it was a bad decision..

I like Forrest, he has scored some import goals for us in the past, today it was highlighted he has played maybe two games against them where he had a good game.

He has been utter * most of the times playing them, nothing was going to change today.

Again for me you don’t leave your most creative player out, just showed when he came on. It’s not hindsight it’s a poor decision.

Got it wrong today but not with Forrest or even Juranovic as you could make an argument for both calls. Particularly if Jota and Abada were ill.

He got it wrong exactly were I and many others on here have been pointing it out for weeks......

Kyogo offers so little against them and its worrying the manager can't see this.
Ange had now won 3 outta 7 against them all 3 Giakoumakis has started or came on after 5 mins.

All down to Giakoumakis wanting away, hence why he hasn’t started any game since before the World Cup

And Kyogo scored today btw :50:

Aye he did mate, thanks for pointing that out. He do anything else?

Giakoumakis wants away due to not getting games tho so who's fault is that.

End of the day we created 1 chance in the 88th minute against a defence that is widely ridiculed. For me that's not good enough

Giakoumakis reportedly wants away due to wage demands and isn’t playing as a result of that. Granted he was only on for 15/20 minutes but Giakoumakis offered very little also.

Would have been easy to take Kyogo off when Giakoumakis came on so need to give credit to Ange for keeping both on.
