I'm reluctant to criticise him to harshly even though I think his hesitancy definitely changed the momentum of the game, I don't trust any keeper with the ball at thier feet don't care if its hart or any other world class 'keeper sweeper' they all make these mistakes at times.

It's obvious he's being asked to play out in almost any situation, so as much as his dithering contributed to the mistake, it was likely also a case of players not giving him the right options. Definitely something we need to improve on before playing them again.

Aye, when you’re the last thing between the opposition and conceding then it’ll happen. The reality is that Hart has been a great signing for us and I’m happy for him to see out the season as our number 1. But at his age he’s on the decline as a footballer so we need to be looking for his successor.

The hun hordes went from being totally on their backs to getting right behind them the second he made that mistake. It was bizarre.
Never seen a more obvious momentum change.

I have defended him probably most on here, but I give up now. Love the guy but we need better

BUT… it is very hard to find gk’s with good feet.

Uch at least he recovered his mistake with a good save from Kent, I'm not too concerned but we will need someone better in the future.

What a signing he's been, 100% proved me wrong when I was initially one of the biggest critics of his signing.

But surely we should be looking at the situation there and looking at sourcing better options, GK has to be a top priority for next season.

Don't expect anything to be done about it this window, but come summer, we really need to find an upgrade desperately.

I thing the game had started to swing prior to his * up. We hadn't created anything in ages.

I like him. The mistake was criminal though and turned the game, but credit for the redeeming save I guess.

I would be looking for a new keeper in the summer. I’m grateful for him coming in and stabilising us when we really needed it, but he’s getting older now and we should be looking for a successor.

Was a great save in fairness but one he should have never had to make and the moment literally changed the game. We were coasting up to that point.

We really need to be looking to upgrade on him in the summer.

Not the 1st time we've been comfortable in games and ended up * about at the back and almost gifting the opposition a goal and a huge lift.
I actually think something similar happened in the 1 - 1 game last season and we have played ourselves under pressure in europe at times too.
Ultimately if that's the way the manager wants to play Hart and Starfelt need upgraded as they can't do it under any real pressure.
To his credit he makes a good save after it but the goth shouldn't have given him the chance.

Thought he was unlucky with penalty, gambled on it being down the middle which not many keepers do.

I might be wrong but Bain might of been our last, possibly against Lille?

He came in and totally steadied the ship defensively.

We can thank him for giving us two good years, but we need to sign a better goalkeeper for the future.

Whether it's the fella Siegrist or somebody else. It is a must that we sign somebody in the summer to replace Hart.

    He’s hopeless at penalties.

Yeah he is. * all he could’ve done today but you know when someone’s stepping up against us it’s a goal. Whereas when we take a pen you feel as if it’s 50/50.

Agree, Allison, Ter-Stegen, Neuer and Ederson are probably the best about at playing from the back and they probably cost their teams 3/4 goals a season, some have had periods of terrible form as well lasting half a season or more of regular blunders. Allison had one a year or two ago and Neuer has had 2/3 bad spells.

Just part of always wanting to play it short from the back. It's inevitable that mistakes will be made and goals lost but overall probably the best way to play.
