McGregor was missing for several games in the CL.

Haksabanovic should be in our starting 11 ahead of O’Riley if we’re setting up like that imo and I say that with the view that we haven’t even seen the best of him yet.

Watched the 67 Hail Hail video and they were saying that these deals give the players 6 months to settle. If the player doesn't want to sign permanently they can go back to Yokohama. I think it's only compulsory to buy if the player wants to stay at Celtic.

Just what they were saying here. Don't know what Orlowitz meant by a 'CFG Family' thing though. Maybe that's the finance thing then.

That would make sense if it's a option to buy.. but it's compulsory, as in Celtic are mandated to buy him in the summer.

Yokohama clearly prefer that arrangement compared to Vissel Kobe, who seem fine with us bringing in Kyogo and Kobiyashi on permanents.

He looks like the muscle in midfield that we've been missing at times.

The Japanese Arturo Vidal haha. Exciting signing. Just in time to skelp the huns about.

But Tomoki Iwata has not yet arrived after his move from Yokahama F Marinos was confirmed on Friday.

“Tomoki is in Japan so there is zero chance he will play,” the Celtic manager said. “

Hope fans don't get carried away if the lad doedn't immediately hit the ground running. Remember how knackered Hatate was last season after not getting a decent break and pre-season with us.

The J League finished earlier this year so he will get a decent break. He's also walking into a better Celtic team than last season so will not be expected to play as often as Hatate was either.

Sounds like a Japanese Scott Brown from what that lad says in terms of positioning, tackling and doing the hard yards.

    Excited to see him play.

I feel in the games against RB Leipzig Schlager they had was a big difference particularly in the game here.

He was so mobile, solid in the tackle for not a big guy and helped protect a very open team and back line that could be exposed. He could also start attacks well and move the ball well.

Iwata looks like he could be that sort of player for us. If he is anything like that level he will be a great addition.

McGregor is brilliant at that role domestically but having another with more natural defensive instincts could form a good platform to protect our defence and let our attacking other 4 players play high up and be ready to spring counters when those two turnover the ball.

Compulsory means by law you MUST oblige. Therefore we it's I the contract that we have to sign him no matter what. The reason for these deals is they don't have to pay till the loan is up and can use the cash for needs at present. Also 9ther reason regarding annual finances etc

To sign a player who was voted the best player in the Japanese league for £850,000 is an absolute no-brainer and I find it incredible that other teams with around the same budget as Celtic arent competing for their signatures. Almost seems too good to be true.

That's not technically the case. A compulsory option could be in place IF something else happens first. Like the player agreeing to it after the loan period is up. So if the loan is up and he wants to come we have to buy him, if he doesn't he can go back to his club. I'm not saying that is the case here, just highlighting it's not as cut and dried as it appears.

I actually love his aggression. It's that sweet spot where he lets ye know he's there but not over the top that the ref needs to caution him. Though he did square upto someone after being chopped down himself...

Can use his left foot really well also.
