Player Suggestions

Some guy on Kerrydale Street mentioned Tomoki Iwata. Think just as a player suggestion. But he's a defensive midfielder and recently won player of the year.

 

Portuguese newspapers say that Benfica will buy him. 10 to 15M€ (may include add-ons).

He looks like the real deal. Hope Benfica actually gives him a chance and don't hide him away on the bench. Boy need proper matching the coming years.

Mao Hosoya. Not sure if this is the same video @craigtheceltic posted on this thread but this covers a fair bit of him. Finishing needs work but looks a real handful. One for the future perhaps?

 

Lad is raw, but he’s got a bit of everything. I like his movement, he’s deceptively quick and strong, like you say, a real handful. At 21 you’d think he be worth a punt to develop.

 

Might not be bad to have as a third choice striker. He'd still be able to contribute while he develops.

 

They were my exact thoughts.

 

He was out with injury for two months early in the season. He came back in July and delivered goals or assist almost every match from there on out. Got himself a well earned debut for the national team in November as well. Got great pace and decent ball control and finishing. Would be great to see him in rotation with Kyogo when GG leaves. He can play all over the attacking line.

 

Think I remember asking you about him before but you weren't too keen on him for us..

I remember that. I thought he was wasting alot of chances earlier, got his vaccination against putting away sitters. Seems like that vaccination has worn off, he certainly have worked on his finishing. Molde played him more down the middle during the last half of the season, which seems to suit him better than utilizing him down the flanks.

 

Not really for us, although a punt would be something I wouldn’t mind but it baffles me how teams like Hibs don’t go for people like this:

Would be a very low price, he’s young, and has a ridiculous record of 17 goals and 16 assists in 14 games this season.

Yes in the Luxembourg league but would be worth a bash for them surely.

 

18 goals and 18 assists in 15 games is pretty mad. He's effectively the entire team! Lol

 

Aye makes you think he’ll be an all round player. Be interesting if he could make the step up

 

On the Luxembourg boy there, I'd not be against it, low risk in finances but there have been some good players, look at Sebastian Thill that went to sheriff when they beat Madrid that season (also played in the progress team that skelped the huns), he was excellent for them and looks like he could go up another level still. Any player romping a minor league is worth a look especially if it would be a low cost risk.

 

Would be an ideal third choice striker

 

Not keen on developing players for other clubs unless there is an option to buy.
