I think it is easier than what we think to be honest mate. We crate a HUGE amount of chances, and for that reason i think our strikers look better than what they actually are. Given the amount of chances they get on a plate each game they dont score enough. I love GG but for us he can get 8 clear chances per game while he would get 1-3 playing for a english side.

I think we underestimate how much better we could actually get if we landed a fantastic striker.

But i don't want us to sell him as i do think he's a really good player. Absolutely not in january.

 

While I do think the striker position can be improved upon I'm not sure GG is easy to replace tbh. Think a few folk are sleeping on just how clinical he's been for us domestically.

Need to keep him here until the Summer then have a look at things. Don't want to be selling him in January only to find the new striker is struggling.

 

Yep, I agree! I definitely wouldn't sell him in January. There's a treble to be won.. what happens if we sell him, kyogo gets injured and any new striker doesn't do it. I know we have goals all around the team but going into the next part of the season with him and kyogo I'll be very confident of winning another double or get our hands on thst treble. Break that up, and the Huns going on a good run anything is possible for them *.

Some are way too infatuated with Kyogo, to a point where they discredit Giakoumakis to blow smoke up Kyogo’s *.

Giakoumakis has routinely bullied Sevco, whilst Kyogo has been posted missing every time. I’d be more confident going into derby games with Giakoumakis.

 

Who's desperate to get him out the door? Can't see where anyone has said that in the last 3 pages.

People are rightfully wanting rid IF he's throwing his toys out the pram and creating an atmosphere in the dressing room.

Secondly, people want him replaced with a similar sort of player, who is stronger and more physical.

Thirdly, who's infatuated with Kyogo? Not seen a single person put GG down to big Kyogo up.

This. Could even add a 4th point in that neither Kyogo or GG are close to being clinical. Still love them both though.

Definitely think we will miss Giakoumakis if he were to be sold in January.

Which is why I can't see it happening but might be wrong.

If, and it's only rumours, Giakoumakis does want away can't see why it can't be made to work for everyone up until the summer.

Personally I hope we get another year from him after the summer too but no point keeping him longer than then if he's not happy.

Again though, I’ll humour you. I went on the Cho thread. People are excited by him. Me included. I’m the one who said that, going by his stats, he’s an upgrade on GG. That’s what the analysis says. You’re argument was that he didn’t look like an upgrade on GG because Cho wasn’t the top goal scorer in South Korea, which is just ridiculous.

I’ve said it many times, I love GG. However, if his attitude is lacking, he needs punted. No amount of appreciation is going to change the fact that he may want to leave. If he doesn’t get the wages he wants or the move he wants, he kicks up a fuss and that is the opposite of what we need right now.

Are you just going to ignore the points on Kyogo and folk wanting a similar sort of striker? Who’s putting down GG to put up Kyogo. Go on the Kyogo thread, there’s nothing mentioned at GG. So where are you getting that information from?

 

I don’t see why we don’t keep what we have till the summer, what’s the rush, understand that values fluctuate and at present only JJ has pushed his stock up to a point where the money maybe to good to refuse but GG is still where he was pre WC I’d keep him until summer then let him go if he can’t agree new terms.

there still two cups and a title to win and I think we’ll need everyone for that.
