Seen a comment he apparently made about standard of opposition in Scotland which I think was wrong for him to say but it was probably a bit true.

Well, he should stop letting them stroll by his side and score. Big *. However, i hope he plays a blinder, scores 12 and gets his big money move in January. He's becoming very unlikeable lately.

Seen that floating about Twitter aswell but it's something that's getting taken miles out of context. Probably by people that either dislike him or want some anti-Celtic headlines.

He was basically just saying what advice Modric gave him after the Madrid game about Celtic not taking their chances in the CL due to inexperience and JJ simply added to the fact players are more relaxed in the league than they are in the CL because they haven't had enough exposure to it.

He's absolutely not wrong, and nothing controversial was said. The interview is a page back about 9 minutes in...

 

The source is actually his Celtic TV interview which has been posted in this very thread just yesterday. The Sun are doing what The Sun do taking out of context and twisting his words and meaning.

What he said in his Celtic TV interview was that in the league players are more relaxed because they have belief in themselves that they are better than the opposition, in the UCL they do not have that same belief in themselves and can't relax in the way you need to to beat the likes of Real Madrid.

Every word true.

Yeah I thought that comment would’ve been taken out of context as I only seen the quote about the being more relaxed. Whether we like it or not if players really want to progress their careers then they will need to leave us. I have no problem with that. We can get some great players for very little, develop and move on for a big profit it our model. Hopefully weigh regular CL we can keep players a bit longer, attract higher calibre players and sell for even bigger profits when the times right.

Didn't manage to watch this one. How did he play?

 

He was part of one of the worst games of football I have ever seen. It was a brutal watch to be honest. No one in red and white standing out, including modric. He didn't really do anything. Always seemed to offer himself when he had space but Croatia were rank rotten.

 

Worst game i have ever seen. Actually impressive how a game can be that * horrible.

He wasn't great, not a single Croatia player was to be fair and that includes Modric..

 

Didn’t really take anyone on, was a lot of safe play. Same for pretty much every player on the pitch, boring as * to watch.

 

Thank * only watched it last 10 mins of the match. Heard it was so boring.
