    What a totally embarrassing statement.

We should be going back and asking why the camera was unable to capture the footage as there is no reasonable explanation it shouldn’t given that’s what it’s purpose is for.

That level of transparency and accountablitiy is the last thing our * as * refs would want, we'll never see a mic'd up game in our lives.

So with motherwell and the SPFL now telling us the camera was focused on the dugout, at what point will Celtic take this further?

Keep in mind, we was told that we have paid for VaR with six cameras and as champions we've paid the most in to this system.
So they now telling us that the camera that is specifically bought to run the 18 yard line was not doing its job that we, as champions have paid for most towards?

Also to note, there is six cameras, two behind the goals and four along the sidelines. That's two on each 18 yard line.

So even if they tell us that the one from the 18 yard line from the near side is focused on the dugout, what's the other one doing that is meant to be it's opposite? Because I'm pretty sure that one wasn't watching the dugout as well?

Should be two focused on each of the 18 yard line!

Nothing wrong with the cameras at all. Just plain cheating.

What really concerns me is how this BS is gonna be off-putting to our star players (and manager). Jota will be scratching his head thinking why's this league so tinpot. Eventually you can't blame them for thinking of moving to more professional pastures. These are professional sportspeople and the last thing they need is incompetent morons making their job harder than it has to be with their basic failings

Not sure we can use that image and line? Far side the line is near enough at the furthest edge of the dark green strip of grass, near side it's in the middle. It's certainly not in line with the rest of the pitch, surely?

Did anyone actually think that VAR would be used correctly in Scotland? Did anyone actually think the stupid * running our game would get this right?

We have the richest league in the world down south with cameras everywhere and fortunes spent and they still get it wrong... what * chance had we in Scotland..

Terrible wording. A footballer is allowed to be on an offside poison when recieving the ball. It's when the ball leaves the his team mates foot is when he's to be inside. Terrible wording from them daft *!

I think he's definitely onside and probably by a "decent" distance.

Like if we knew for certain and it was a game to win £50k or whatever and you had to guess if he was 3+ inches onside 0-3 inches onside, 0-3 inches offside or 3+ inches offside i'd put my money on that he is 3+ inches onside as he just looks onside from all the angles so he probably is and given that he always looks on it's probably by more than it seems.

Mental how you knew this would happen as well.

Everycunt and their granny getting penalties for handball except us away to Hearts where a guy actually swung his hand and slapped the ball away.

Tony Watt getting a red with VAR for going in studs up but pulling out and only really half scraping a guy on the shin on the way down, next Dundee Utd game Sibbald goes in far worse, higher on Giakoumakis and plants the studs into his stomach and groin but it's not a red with VAR even though it's miles worse than Watt for the same team days before.

The one on Starfelt as well, even in real time the whole stadium reacts like "ooohhhh" near enough anybody seen it thinks it should have been a red but nothing.

I always thought with VAR they need like 20 cameras looking straight along the pitch even say from the roof of every clubs stadium and they all need to be in sync so you can get quick accurate offside decisions. Just use the one closest in line to the ball to perfectly catch when the ball is struck then look at the 1 or 2 closest to in line with the offside which are at worst only going to be like 3 yards away from exactly straight on.

You'd think nowadays it should be possible and cheap to do.

i remember watching the rugby years ago and they had some time of var and you could here the var ref talking to the onfield ref about decisions and why the decision was given, all open and above board

but you could only have that system with honest officials and governing body which we havent got

What's this sfa SPFL crap about the camera they use was zooming in on the benches at the time jota scored so had to show the other 3 mile away still. Lol Motherwell manager said he saw at least 2 other angles of the jóta goal so why didn't we see it. Because he was onside that's why HH
