Daizen Maeda

His control and finish was as composed as you'll see from any player. His work rate makes him a great option but if he can improve on that side of it, we'll have a great player on our hands. I've liked him since he arrived but there's obviously times where he's * it when it would be easier to score, but hopefully the more he plays the more we'll see what he did tonight.

 

Maeda is a samurai mate! He'll strike down all those that doubt him lol

Took his goal really well and the way the game was tonight probAbly would have suited him. A lot of loose passes, and touches from both sides but would have given him pressing opportunities. Also the longer the game went on it was crying out for runners in behind.

For me it again showed at least one energetic box to box Centre mid should be a priority in January. Hatate and O’Riley look out of their feet. Mooy started the game quite well but fell out it as it got a bit frantic.

 

Great goal, deserves to start the next game.

Said it when I watched a couple of games before he joined, he’s one part world class and one part Sunday league. He’ll do stuff like today and drop your jaw, then go and miss the easiest of chances 5 minutes later. If he was world class full time he’d be at a different club with his athleticism and speed. Glad we have him and hope he develops further.

I like him. I wouldnt have called today's jaw dropping. Qaulity run but he made the touch look a bit off and then sort of slipped as he shot and scored got to remember he's 3 or 4 years younger than kyogo so plenty time to grow. His touch is getting better though and he's better than many give credit for.

 

You rip him and essentially say his goal was sloppy/accidental in one breath and then in the next breath say he’s better than many give him credit for

he was having a tough time of it and got some stick that was well over the top. Since ange has taken him out the spotlight hes starting to find form and confidence again. Great to see, works his * off for the club.

 

He’s such an enigma for me like again last night he scores the harder chances and fluffs the easy ones
