Please don't tell me that Angel Hernandez is calling play off games. Shouldn't even be allowed in the MLB at all but they can't get rid of him because of the union, but surely they can prevent him from officiating in the play-offs. Worst ump ever.

Watched to the 7th inning of the Phillies Vs Padres game last night. It was just awkward as they kept fixing the camera on the Nola parents :56:

Even worse when the Padres Nola got the RBI that opened up the game for them. The dad didn't know where to look.

Phillies, please! F*ck the cheating scummy Astros

Besides, unless my Red Sox are in the WS, always root for the NL team.

Great comeback by the Phillies last night in G1 by the way, coming from 5-0 down to level it up, take it to extra innings and win 6-5 in the 10th. As good as Verlander has been for years and years, he has a pretty ordinary ERA in WS play over his appearances with Detroit and more recently with Astros.

Hopefully Phillies can sweep these cheating Astros scumbags.

Very good comeback, was fearing the worst when they went 5 down. It's going to be a repeat of the 1980 NLCS, Phillies win game 1.

Diaz leaning into the pitch to try and load the bases. Those Astros need to just get in the bin and stop banging it :67:

Hopefully now that the Series has moved to Philly, the home side can take the 3 games of the stand and wrap it all up, starting with G3 tonight.

Well, sadly not. Don Larsen joined by the Astros in a world series no-hitter.

Cristian Javier is now the first player to be the starting pitcher in two combined no-hitters.

Yeah, series level 2-2. Hopefully Phillies can take G5 before it goes back to Houston.

This Carlos Correa merry-go-round has come to its natural conclusion. He is back at the Twins after rejecting them. Can't feel too bad for him with his $200 million, but to lose two $300 million+ decade long contracts in one off season is hilarious. His spring training is going to be awkward.

Speaking of which, what about Rafael Devers signing US$331m deal for 11years with the Sox!!! :35:

Makes the signing of Justin Turner just before this a bit strange though. Turner signed for 2years (option after 1) but why sign a 3rd baseman when he is not going to be there ahead of Devers? Obviously losing JD Martinez leaves a gap for the DH role, but would've wanted someone with some bigger digits than a .270 hitter (over the last couple of seasons), if that is what Turner has been signed for. That's roughly the same as what Martinez brought to the table last season, so it's not exactly an improvement.

I think his numbers are well suited for Fenway. Wouldn't be surprised to see his numbers tick up. He's only on a short term deal, so it's not like he's the guaranteed DH for years. They clearly seem to value their farm system and expect them to break through in the next couple years.

Hasn't Turner played more post-seasons games that just about any body else? If your wanting the prospects to come up then might as well get someone with experience to help those prospects.

The old guy looks to have been signed just to hit it off the monster a good few times and share experience.

What's everyone making of the pitch clock?

I like the idea of it but can't stand actually looking at the clock behind the home plate. Watching the Cubs now and they've put it on the score graphic which is much better.

I like the concept, but as I can't see the games no idea how the coverage is being presented. If it helps keep the game rolling then all for it. Baseball could learn a trick or two from T20 cricket in that regards.
