If we win we give ourselves an outside chance of third, part of me thinks if Shakhtar could get a point in Madrid then so can we, the other part thinks Madrid will do us again.
Still no guarantee that Leipzig will do us the favour by beating Shakhtar in Poland.

They never got a point in Madrid, unless you are alluding to the 3pts they picked up in 2020? Anyway yes, we really need Leipzig to do us a favour in Poland. And for us to bury the chances tonight.

Grand old team to play for
Shakhtar got beat 2-1 in Madrid, they got the point in Poland. Our best hope if we can win tonight is that Real win too and Leipzig really go for the win in Poland and don't treat a draw as an acceptable result. With Real already having won the group and us fighting for a place in Europe we could maybe just pull off a result (with a bit of luck).

Really surprised at the number of team suggestions that don't include Ralston.

Shakhtar drew 1-1 with Madrid last game, was it in Poland? If so my mistake.

    It's simple...

Juranovic is the best right back at the club.

Hope that clears that up for you.

He might be a better player, and might be the best choice, but I think Ralston gives us more steel.
We need full backs who will let the opposition know they're there. Despite his stature Taylor does that as does Ralston.
I like JJ but I don't see him imposing himself as much as the other two.

It's not St Johnstone we're playing here.

As much as I appreciate Ralston as a player, Juranovic would always get the nod over him for me.

If we win 5-1 I'll buy a raccoon a pizza and throw a caramel log at a penguin.

Which is why we can't be taking any prisoners. I'm not suggesting we resort to being cloggers and risk silly cards, but they need to know we're up for it.
Ralston can deliver that better thanJJ

I just hope we get no injuries tonight..

For me though, Livi is the much bigger game..

That said....I have a feeling we will pump this mob later. Got a good feeling..

I think tonight is massive, to be honest. Aye we can't qualify but it'll make such a difference to the squad to win a game - given how many chances we've created we run a risk of developing a bit of a confidence issue in Europe if we go through the whole campaign without a win. We need a convincing home win in Europe, it can't come soon enough and it'd be massive for our morale going forward if we do it tonight.
