EPL 2022/2023

  1. I though Ten Haag would be another useless overrated manager, but he actually seems decent, and have some set of balls on him which none of the managers have had since Ferguson.

Bbc showing that Ave EPL manager (Inc Gerrard) has lasted just over 2 years, heavily boosted by Klopp and Guardiola which takes it up 169 days. In 2012 it was 4 years although I imagine Ferguson and Wenger bumped that figure up.
The article has a load of managers complaining about how quick people are to sack managers in EPL. A) that's the job B) paid well to begin with and pay offs when sacked C) how many of these managers were players that caused managers to get the sack? Probably quite a few.

Haaland just swatting the defender away there. Absolute unit.

  5. McTominay and Fred just nothing footballers

  6. I know it's not EPL but the standard in that championship is * rank rotten. Watched the "Welsh Derby" and it was comical how * both teams were. Cardiff down to 10 men from the 5th minute or something and Swansea were absolutely awful. Pretty sure Russel Martin was linked with the hun job before when slippy left.

Swansea playing the ball about at the back for the final 10 minutes doing nothing with it. It's weird how these teams are set up. Playing against 10 men and your first thought is just to hold onto what you have, even though the opposition have done absolutely nothing. Our fans would be going mental if that was us in the final 10 minutes of a Glasgow derby. * embarass them.

  7. Looking like Leeds is another team Ange will be getting linked with soon

  8. Right call there. Was never a foul..

Runs in to him realises he's in trouble and delayed his fall..

  9. If that had happened with Giakoumakis yesterday they would have blown the whistle before the ball hit the net.

  10. Rinsed the Spurs defender there..

tarboltontim We have nothing to lose but our chains.

Cracker of a goal from Almiron.

  12. I hate managers like Conte/Mourinho/Simeone, they are good when their teams are realy aggressive and sneaky and hard * to beat but when they are just pure pish to watch and only really defensive they are dreadful.

  13. Comes across an utter wee * Conte..

Newcastle will kick themselves if they don't win this. Battered Spurs badly since half time..

  14. Were all over them this half as well until Spurs scored.

  15. I don't care what anyone says....Kane is a jumped up, roided equivalent of Kris Boyd.

You give spurs a striker that can actually move, proper mobile, good feet and has some creative flair to them, I'd argue Conte would have them winning trophies regularly.

All to often when I see Kane and he ain't getting his way, he looks clueless, doesn't know what to to do so then just starts flopping to floor like a fish playing for FK's.

Thing is though, his goal record will always be used to defend him.

  16. Eddie Howe is a tremendous manager.

I’m delighted the talks with him broke down in hindsight, as we would never have had Ange, but he’d have been brilliant here as well.

I'm impressed with him aswel. Newcastle haven't exactly went full man City either. He's doing it with relatively what he had. They'll splash big this summer though.

  18. Not going to lie, I totally disagree. I think he's class man. Conte completely sets his team up in a way which barely helps attacking players. You put Ange in as manager of spurs and I guarentee you he's banging in goals every week.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's anywhere near the level the english make out, like best number 9 in the world or anything but I do think he's a phenomenal player.

  19. Everyone on Talksport creaming their pants over how fantastic Newcastle look. Its not like it's a shock that the worlds richest football club is competing? Or am i missing something? For me it just highlights how much of primadonnas the footballers is in that country. They have not invested heavily yet, but the players suddenly start to perform when they have to, because if they dont, they will be replaced and miss out on the chance to play for the highest wages in world football. So now they are magically performing.

"Eddie Howe gets the best out of a player" nonsense. It's just the player that fights for their lives because if they do well, they can ask for hilariously ridiculous wages when renewing contracts. The same players who did not give a * when a prince wasn't around.
