    It won’t be his first choice but if he’s desperate he would take it. The squad and the lack of funds to rebuild should be enough to put him off. Like they literally have no one with any value rn it will be a shambles for them if they don’t win the league. But he probably think he’s their best ever manager he’s that full of himself.

    This interview with Emi Martinez only confirms the rumours coming out of the hun camp at the time when Gerrard/Beale was there, that Michael Beale actually was the brain and Gerrard was and still is the clueless poster boy.

    They went a season unbeaten, I won’t quibble with him getting Manager of the Year for that. But it was the exception, he had zero pressure because of our implosion, and had players openly admitting having no fans helped them on the pitch.

    Was a freak culmination of events, I still give them credit for it though, because they took advantage of it and adapted to it far better.

    Was two exceptional candidates for the award that year, wouldn’t quibble with either getting it. But it’s obvious just how much he relied on his background staff, and it was known at the time as well.

    It highlights how poorly run at board-level we were during Rodgers and Lennon’s time, given that clown was able to stop 10.

    He essentially had a blank cheque book at Villa, in comparison to the non-elite clubs in that league.
