Reo Hatate

He's one of those players that will peak at 29/30 as he started of so late. Unreal player and im confident we keep him as long as we want.

 

Going to be player of the year.

His vision for a pass, his tenacity, said it last night in the match thread but how he manages to slip the ball into centre of the park with 3 players around him is sexy football stuff.
If he can get more edge of the box shooting more often. Just wow.
He is a top player. Always gives it 110...even when at times he needs to just give it solid 100.

 

I seen somebody on twitter compare him to Seedorf, in terms of style, and thought it was spot on.

I knew there had to be a reason we signed Barkas

 

Mind Alex Rae said he would be a * utility player

 

Most of our fanbase thought we were signing a left back to be fair

 

It shows how uninformed the media were when they just assumed he would be playing LB since we needed a LB at the time and he had presumably played there once or twice

 

I would argue that if we somehow managed to improve positions around him even further which in itself would be such a ridiculous ask of Celtic and Ange.

I think Hatate could be our relative take on goal scoring midfielder like that of a Lampard, Gerrard or a scorer of mental goals like Seedorf.

Probably won't be hear long enough though, could see him tearing it up in Spain.

 

Spain is a good shout. Italian teams seem to have been looking at Scotland for a few years now.
Either way...he keeps this up he won't be here long

 

When he is on his game you can't ask for better. How he created time for that goal I'll never know. Completely surrounded but made it look like he had all the time in the world.

 

I think the key for keeping Hatate at a high level is simply not overplaying him. He puts so much in to a game being our main box to box CM. At the moment he is the one that if he drops out we don’t have a natural player to take his place.

It would be a priority for me in January.

 

Sexual

 

Some of the stuff he does put’s me in mind of Lubo so much. Completely different players and stage of career.

But it’s the off the cuff, surprise ye get watching him sometimes, some of the vision, some of the humble ridiculous *, it reminds me of him.

And that’s a ridiculously high compliment that.


Funny enough, with the same caveats of not as good, no one for one comparison but reminiscent of a player Kyogo and Henrik, and GG with a weird hybrid of Sutton/Hartson.

Not as a comparison as players that at all btw, just a reminder and the feeling watching them.

 

Struggles a bit in those ultra scrappy conditions, but thought he was our best midfielder again today.

 

Thought he was just as bad as Mooy today. Continuously gave the ball away, almost played them in with a ropey hit pass across the backline from a throw in, was constantly caught the wrong side of his man. Uncharacteristically bad game by him today.

 

Headless chicken today.

 

He was frustrating me a bit today, just thought he made a few wrong decisions with passing or shots. Still love him though

 

Thought he was single handedly carrying our midfield for most of the game today tbh.
