OK I took it too far my apologies

It's not just * up the 10 BTW he's always been extremely unprofessional. You only need to watch the open goal interviews with ex players.

Fair play mate. I agree with most everything else but the drink problem is not something anyone should be attacked for.

Takes a big man to admit that so good on you mate.

Alcoholism should never be trivialised or used as something to attack anyone with.

That said, no one hates him because he lost a league title. He could’ve won back to back Champions Leagues for all I care.

He openly stated he has nothing in common with us. The people that made him a millionaire and supported him vociferously through the most difficult periods in his life.

All because we dared to question what was happening on the pitch at the club we love under his tenure.

I really wish people would stop bringing results and success, or lack of it, in to the discussion around him. It’s an irrelevance.

It’s his dismissive, patronising, disrespectful attitude towards the guys who pay their money every week that is and always will be the issue.

As a person who is 101 days sober...alcohol is a flipping addictive beast. If you can enjoy it and not drink your * off every day then good stuff..however for me... :) So glad to be done with it now. Onwards!

"All because we dared to question" doing a bit of heavy lifting there mate.

Try demonstrating outside the ground, verbally abusing the staff and players.

To be fair, fans where locked out the grounds so had no way of venting their anger other than posting online which was obviously being ignored. I think those protests just prolonged him being there as Desmond and Lawwell didn’t want to be seen as backing down.

    Yep, probably mate.

The point is though that lennon made comments about some fans on the back of these demonstrations.

    Demonstrations that were wholly justified…

He had no right to say what he did about the people that effectively made him who he is and pay for his cushy lifestyle.

Demonstrations that took place because he cared only about his pocket and not the club. Refusing to walk when he knew he was causing more damage than good.

They had won the quadruple treble just weeks earlier so maybe he believed he could turn it about. Bear in mind there were more reasons why it went * up that season than lennon being in charge.

For a man that suffered the amount of unacceptable bigotry he did over a sustained period of time as a direct result of his connections with celtic I find it a * disgrace that some of our own have turned on him the way they have. GBNL

He’d won 5 trophies out of.. 6 I think? At that point, he backed himself and I understand why. He was wrong.

A penny pinching spineless board not relieving him of his duties shouldn’t be on him. And tbf, why walk away from money to protect the board, * that.

The biggest thing for me, and shows you why the board should have stepped in, is he still to this day thinks he done nothing wrong and it was just circumstances that happened to * him. It wasn’t. But the call shouldn’t have been his, it should be those in charge.

I don’t understand why he backed himself. Think that’s an easy get out of jail free card.

It was quite clearly going to * and he was losing the support of the fans, and the players from what it seems. He was never going to turn it around.

Stubborn and wanted his pay off.

Because he’d generally been very successful at Celtic, had just won trophy after trophy and a treble and had belief in himself to do it again? I don’t think he would have at all but can’t blame a guy for that, it should never have been his decision and the board were * cowards for that.

Did a great job when he stepped in for Tony Mowbray. Only blip was that cup semi where he seemed to be taking orders from John Park.
I didn't think he should have got the job full time but wasn't too unhappy that he did.

Then again I was pleased when he stepped in for BR, but we should have learned and left that as a temp post only.

Will try to remember him as a great player and for some of his managerial highlights, such as beating Barca.

I think if he'd have taken a coaching role at a top Championship or middle EPL side after his first rescue mission he might have developed better.
Probably too late now for him to do that.

I get he wanted his pay off and to be honest don't blame him, I probably would too if I was in his shoes. He has also always come across as very arrogant. It's his bad mouthing of the fans that gets on my *. If he just came out and said "I was confident I could do something, I was wrong and I fully accept the blame for the season" I'd be happy.
