Both of them also knew the limits of their teams. That's what I wish Ange had in mind- our squad has limits when playing in Europe.

He's no scout, that's for sure. I can't mind off top of my head, but he's defo had a few belters on here I'm sure.

 

I'd disagree on Strachan, in Europe he definitely set us up defensively.

MON, I'm with you, we went at teams, especially at Parkhead, just not in the same way modern football teams attack.

 

I don't even agree it's about philosophy or anything like that.

We simply aren't well drilled as a defensive unit and we're too slow to transition when we lose the ball.

When a team has us under siege we look all over the place. You need to drill a team to do that well.

If we apply the same attention to it as we do the press we'll do a lot better.

 

Why are half your posts about Ange's weight or his health? * weirdo.

 

The obsession with his cough is so boring.

The guy is a millionaire; I’m sure he has the best healthcare going - there’s nothing wrong with him.

He likely does it out of habit whilst whatever * interviews him gibbers on asking the usual drawn out, over-complicated question.

 

Love the documentary on last season. Not only is the guy a fantastic coach, but he gets the club and what it’s all about.

I do not know the players in the SPL as well as you Hammy or others on this thread, so not aware of Holt as a player.
You guys have been watching SPL a lot longer than me and know more regarding players and their history.

I was merely making an observation.

Sorry, I have had some medical issues to attend to recently - are we out ? Some were saying if we beat Shaktar and draw with Real we may have a slim chance of second place. What's the latest ?

If out, we still have a chance for Europa League games if we come third in the group ?

 

We’re pretty much out of Europe altogether mate. Can’t finish 2nd now no matter what, but to finish third we would need to beat Shakhtar at home, take something in Madrid and then also hope Leipzig beat Shakhtar. We’ve competed in all 4 games, created so many opportunities but haven’t taken them. The energy levels also drop drastically in the final 20/30 minutes of games.

 

He does it more for mainstream media than when he's taking questions from fan media. I think it's his subtle way of saying "if I had the choice I wouldn't speak to you" to MSM. Not withstanding he says exactly that in less subtle ways at times
