...when he was playing first team football, and yes that's another very valid point.

It's still showing no will to play football, which for any pro i find staggering, and the family argument only counts if he intends to stay here after his contract expires which i can't see (although i'll happily be proved wrong).

I'm not going to call him a traitor and call for his head - i'll save that for Tommy G - it's just a very tragic end to a good career at the club; an end that could have been avoided with ease.

    oh the comdeian has arrived.

Yes i want rid of him but i wont resort to abuse of a player who is only seeing out a contract the club willingly offered.

And some forget that a player is to give 100% and not just be fit for matches. A player that gives 100% would want to move to get first team football. Who says that he has to uproot his family to play for another club??

Roy Keane lives in Manchester, commuted to Glasgow and is doing the same to Sunderland.

John Hartson remained in Glasgow after his ex wife took his child back down south. Players can work away from their families.

There are plenty of other examples e.g. Lee Naylor, Paul Telfer.

Also this family thing is speculation on your part, it probably has as much truth as the wolves offer.

Its a fact he has a child at school here.

Bobo is fit, ready and willing to play. If the manager doesnt rate him then its his problem that hes on a contract, not baldes.

Yes but poor form and being happy to play in the reserves has stopped his career, 2 years with no football is alot mate most of us would give anything to be playing pro football and his heart aint imo its his fault Strachan sees him every day an must see something wrong with this guy i.e. lack of effort/passion for the game because of the money he is on there are not many players in the world who are happy with reserve football and players that are on far less than him .I have lost all respect for him and its time he showed a bit of pride in himself as Dempsey said earlier I am a fan of Celtic not Bobo Balde

I am a fan of celtic too....with that i am also a fan of the players at the club.

Nobody said Balde is happy with reserve football....but im sure he is happy with his wage that he would struggle to get anywhere else.

If he is happy playing in the reserves, I would not call that giving it 100%. Being fit when you have world class coaching and facilites isnt a huge ask, its a minimum requirement.

You call the minimum requirement and effort from Balde honouring his end of his contract. If he had ambition and hunger that is required at a club like Celtic, he would have moved before now. I call him a money grabbing * that reinforces the stereotype of the modern day footballer.

Before I get the "Celtic gave him his contract" and He has a family response like a out of office response to an email.

I'll say again, Balde has agreed to leave Celtic if he is offered a fair contract (i.e. Similar wages). That means he is either prepared to move or commute.

ok.....so he has not been offered a fair contract (similar wages) elsewhere then...:50:

We have plenty players at the club not in the first team but balde is brought into focus due to his wage....thats not his fault.

Well no I will have to disagree.

As you pointed out, he was offered a contract by Celtic. When he signed that contract, he would have been told that he had a big part in the first team. Also remember that he wanted a clause in that contract so that he could talk to other clubs to get a bigger wage.

So when he fell out of the first team plans, most footballers. Ask about their future, if they are told that they are backup/reserve players after they have been regular, they look for a move because they are hunger and want to be playing.

Plenty of other players at the club not in the first team but I want Gravesen and Riordan gone just as much as Balde. One cant follow the managers direction, the other isnt giving it 100% either.

The likes of Killen, Mizuno, McCourt were offered contracts that matched their role in the squad.

It’s simple nobody has offered enough of a salary to attract Bobo. Again going by un-substantiated reports it seems Bobo has not been offered more than 15k a week by any club see link. http://www.expressandstar.com/2008/08/14/wolves-blast-bid-for-balde/

Until a club offers him what he is worth in terms of wage and length of contract then I don’t blame him for not leaving. This will be his last contract in football and it’s understandable that he will do what is best for him and his family’s future.

Anyone who questions his desire or commitment is just blind to the fact that Bobo has always been a total professional. He is always fit and ready to play and 100% committed, it’s a shame Celtic are not 100% committed to him.

People forget to easily of the contribution Bobo has made over the years, including under WGS. Without him we would not be three times on the trot Champions just now.

I find it sad how people will turn on a player who has given so much and IMO would still be able to give so much more. It is not his fault WGS does not pick him, OK if he was not fit or was a bad influence then I could understand the animosity towards him but those things could never be labelled on Bobo.

How fans believe the nonsense the tabloids write and then form a negative opinion on one of their own is truly astonishing to me.

Why would you want to believe a rag with an agenda, as the Daily Rangers so clearly have? Who time and time again, including today has proven to be less than honest? Over a player who has given so much to the club? Shame on you people for doing that IMO

your posts are normally of good standard but u have completely missed the point here. The life of MOST footballers is moving from club to club every few season so familys get uprooted, so if his flippin kid goes to school here is not hard to put him in another school is it.

his complete lack of ambition is an absolute disgrace, he would ratha sit in the stands n recieve money for doing nothing ratha than accept nearly the same wages at another club and progress with his career. what bobo doesnt realise is clubs will not want someone with his kind of attitude wen he finally GTF at the end of the season. Also i cant see any club paying him the wages he thinks he deserves once his contract has expired. It will come back to hit him in the face come next year and i cant wait until it does.

I've not msised any point. Bobos action are the only point.

As far as we are aware he has not had any offers that are attractive and on wages anywhere close to what hes on now.
