Surely you can understand some vitriol being directed to someone with such a vast lack of ambition (if today's rumours are true). Just a shame that it all has to end like this. He could have left with good memories, and with the support / best will of the fans.

Any chances of that happening now are sinking quickly.

what I also don't get is that some say it's legitimate to play for the huns if they offered more money than celtic, because they had to provide for their family, but it's not legitimate for a celtic player to stay at celtic and let the contract run out?

If thats the case, I will jump for joy the day that he leaves because if he has an attitude like yours, he has no interest in Football, just money. Celtic needs hungry players which, if you are to go by, Balde isn't.

I support Celtic FC, not Bobo Balde.

What about Birmingham and Sunderland (and to a lesser extent Ipswich). Still a denial of the lack of ambition? Wouldn't have thought so.

I think hes had a great career..not sure ambition is the issue. His family are settled here and he is on a great wage. At this age i'm sure family comes first.

A good point Roslea, but i'd appreciate it if you could look at it from this stance too - once his contract has finished, will he stay rather than uproot his family?

I highly doubt it - he'll be off. Sentimentality makes me want to think the best of him, but i just don't believe it in this instance.
