There’s no denying we have the quality to beat Leipzig. 3-1 Celtic. I think we’re going to seriously surprise a few tonight

 

I hope we get the first goal and get a bit of momentum

 

Only want to hear and see positive vibes from now on. Remember we are CELTIC we have beaten better . I'm sure ange and the bhoys will be right on it tonight. Remember winning at anfield? Beating the mighty barca and my * didnt we give real Madrid a fright In the first game , put few of they chances away and what a start that would been.

We need to stop their big massive RB as he ran riot the last game and try to play with the same energy levels as they had. If we can get an early goal to help calm the nerves then who knows how they will react. I'm beginning to get the pre-match nerves but now getting ready to meet up soon with my brother for some liquid refreshments in the town before the game to help calm me down.

 

Think it might be the reverse of last week.

Looking to a classic Celtic champions league night that we haven't seen in some time

 

You don't really have any confidence of us playing in Europe cause the way we play we can concede any minute, even if we go 2-0 up in 10 minutes for 90% of teams that would be game over but we wouldn't manage the game or change anything to see it out we'd still let ourselves be wide open and countered for fun for the rest of the game - could still lose a game 4-2 from that position where as most teams change things about or slow games down to kill a game off.

Means every European game we are on edge the full 90 mostly and we need to take our chances as we know we're going to give many away.

The olden days under Lennon and Strachan or O'Neill you'd think we can keep it tight and win 1-0 or 2-1 maybe with a goal or two from a set piece. Now you think we probably need 3 goals to win and we need the first so we're not under pressure and become rushed and erratic.

 

I think you need a few no nonsense type players in the team to see games out like that, outside of big CCV and maybe even Giakoumakis , we are are bunch of wee guys tbh.

 

If Ralston started more often, that would help.

 

Is not just physical toughness, it's mental toughness. We have lacked that since MoN days.

 

Think jota will play tonight he won't want to miss this game at paradise

 

If he was subbed out just due to tiredness, he can surely play one half.

 

Not overly confident, we’ll likely be missing 3 nailed on starters one of which is our captain. They’re a decent team and you’d expect us to be wide open again, which means we’ll likely concede a lot of chances. On the flip side, I’d expect us to create chances too and it will just come down to how clinical we are, if it’s anything like the first 3 group games we’re in for another frustrating night.

 

Hey frustration equals celtic at times we all know that . Well us older ones remember the lean years. Maybe a good thing would be to have our defenders, defend first, then if chances/openings appear then go forward but not fecking gung ho tonight

 

And big GG must start tonight he will rough them up and his protection of the ball is good.

I'd start ralston tonight. Tenacious and can get up and down the wing no problem

Only tricky thing would be I'd they have really pace winger and full back

 

Ralston is good at anticipating trouble and flying in with a tackle just in time, and is not a slow player. Of course there are faster players, but Tony can handle things. If Ange is iffy about starting Abada, he could even play Juranović at right wing. Then we're sorted.
