It's actually 2 fold as well its not just that he's not a natural dm he's the most suited player possible to play as an 8 in Anges system. He'd be sensational as an 8 in this team.

You don't think they can up it a gear or two too ? They had the ball in the net twice and were very unlucky to get them ruled out.

Has to be said despite the result - scoring an away goal in Europe is the most sexual thing as a Celtic fan. Genuinely a feeling unrivalled. Shame tonight's will be forgotten because that moment when the ball hit the net was absolutely beautiful.

Woeful performance. Maeda, JJ O'reilly Hatate amongst others all well off it.
Also the timings of the subs was off. Really wish this lack of spark in final 3rd would * right off.

It’s the sheer amount of space ever team gets against us when we lose possession.

And it’s a complete panic when it happens too.

It needs to be addressed. I don’t think we need to change our philosophy we just need to give more attention to the defensive side.

Players aren’t reacting quickly enough when we lose the ball or when the opposition makes moves offensively.

I don’t think O’Riley and Hatate can both start in CM in Europe. Neither of them get a chance to shine because we can’t control the midfield.

We’re at a point where everyone is * it to give the ball away because we know it’s going to end in a panic.

Possibly if everyone loses to Real Madrid.

No of course they aren’t, but they’ve got players who will be at that level of team in the coming years. Yes it was individual mistakes that cost goals, but 3 goals conceded was probably fair for how we played.

Once again it comes down to our finishing.

I pretty much expected what we saw, I've never been a fan of Welsh's positional play in particular and agree the injuries expose us at this level.

Thing is though, we've had exactly the same issues since Rodgers was here...the gun ho approach in Europe and then easily being opened up.

Some may be able to dress it up saying it was a game where we failed to take our chances, particularly in the first half. But I think we were overall poor, nieve at this level and far too predictable. We had a non existent midfield, even before Calmac went off, they exploited that with their pace on the break. Far too many loose balls balls played, poor descisions. That second goal , I don't know why Hart even tried to pass to Taylor let alone * it up. Calmac at blame for the first but I think Hart came off his line far too quickly. In the end we got what we deserved as it could have been more. Don't know how we can reverse the scoreline next week.

Genuinely believe with a good goalkeeper we get a point out of that. Hart can’t command his box, it’s so * clear, look at Saturday. He is also incredibly bad with the ball at his feet.

We would need to win 3-0 against Leipzig because of head to head

Anyone thinking we can get 6 points from these next 2 home games is a lot more optimistic than me.
We might have a chance against Shakhtar but Leipzig looked on a different level from us tonight.

We'd be a point better off if they lose to Real.

Edit: I'm assuming they'll beat Shakhtar

Would’ve disagreed before tonight, but I genuinely fear 4th now.
