Ryan Porteous of Hibs get in it. If Welsh was Celtic standard, as some claim, he’d naturally be ahead of a Hibs defender.

Anyway, I don’t know why two people have chosen to be so fixated on a fairly minor point. I merely used it as evidence that it’s not just ‘bitter’ or ‘jealous’ Celtic fans thinking he's *.

    * me.

I think he’s * because he gets bullied physically most games and has poor positioning.

This clown is sitting there thinking he’s Guardiola because he can see Welsh is rubbish, whilst us peasants sit calling him * because we’re ‘jealous’ of him.

Welsh has really poor positioning livi, them, etc we see it all the time he's not learning he's slow and ponderous on ball and gets bullied.if he's playing tomorrow I worry for us.

Porteous is *, but he plays regular football. That’s probably the main reason he gets in ahead of Welsh to be honest. If Welsh was at Hibs, he would play every game. He should have been loaned out to continue his development. Keeping him to fill in when players are injured will only hinder him for the future in my opinion.

Massive game for him tomorrow, good performance could make his career here. Bad performance won't break it, but it won't help in the long-run. Hope he smashes it.

Porteous is a regular in the Hibs starting 11, Welsh is not a regular starter for Celtic.

He was loaned out to Morton and sent back early bcoz he was struggling in the championship. They ended up playing him at right back bcoz he was too weak to play Cb.

He was extremely lucky with timing of covid n boards penny pinching kept him hear during lennons last season.

He's only still here bcoz of the qouta of 4 home grown players

Huge test for him tomorrow, as it is with Jenz as well.

Hopefully he stands up and is counted, we need him to be confident on the ball and disciplined in his shape but most importantly aggressive in his defending.

He was recalled from the loan.

I can’t say how he done as I didn’t see him play a single minute for Morton. They seemed to be impressed by him however going by the comments in the link. How many games did you watch him play for them to form the opinion that he struggled?

I remember watching his first game for Morton away at Caley Thistle on telly and it was so bad..

Done well to get his self in to the fold here from then..

Tbf Welsh probably played more than the likes of guys like ralston, billy Gilmore, even big dykes doesn’t start now, so tbf to Clarke he seems to go for players he feels he can trust rather than regular starter s for their club

I was working at Morton at the time. Trust me he wasn't rated. Seen him 4 or 5 times, mainly at rb and he was poor. Didn't think there was any chance I'd see him in a celtic shirt.

As it says he was recalled due to us having our usual influx of centre half injuries. I'm sure at the time Lennon said the plan was to bring him back as cover until players came back and then send him back out again to Morton, because if he played for us he couldnt go to any other club as you can't play for 3 clubs in one season. Problem was Morton didn't want him back and signed someone else.

He’s not as bad as people make out on here but certainly ain’t at Celtic levels! Would be decent ina Motherwell or team like taht , only still here because of the Scottish quota

A team not wanting you and sending you back is totally different to being recalled. You said he was sent back due to not being good enough, that wasn’t the case. We are talking about a centre half who was 19 at the time as well.

It’s not splitting hairs whatsoever. It’s two totally different scenarios.

    Guardiola? :56:

I think I'm Guardiola for pointing out Celtic supporters unfairly bash young Celtic players? While you're sitting there using lack of international caps at 22 as evidence he's *? Aye nae bother mate.
