While it would be great to get our first ever competitive win in Germany I just can't see it happening with the way we have been playing of late. I'd be delighted with a draw considering our current defence (is Starfelt crocked again?) but even that is doubtful I fear. Hopefully I'm wrong and they put in a solid performance, but I think it's going to be a nervy watch for 90 minutes.

It's interesting how a couple of poor performances, a couple of injuries and an international break can kill confidence, myself included.

This time last month we were ready to take down Madrid. Hope we turn up tonight and get in their faces but I'm expecting a loss

I know we got nothing from the games in the end but I was equally as downbeat headed into the Leverkusen and Betis away games last season and the team proved me wrong for large portions. The current from of Juranovic, Welsh and Jenz just doesn’t look good for our chances though. I rate CCV that highly that if he were fit I’d be proper buzzing for it and baying for blood.

Let’s hope we turn up eh. If Kyogo and Jota are on it we’ve got a chance.

Hopeful more than expectant and confident..

We 100% have the quality and pace to hurt them..

I know we can't rely on it but once, just once it would be nice to carry a bit of luck. We always seem to be unlucky in Europe..

Very rarely to never do we get a good side making a last man rash challenge early on and going down to 10 or that. Please something like that happen today off of one of Kyogo or Maeda's runs :48:

Massive game for us, injuries and form for me will be the key factor in us not getting a good result the night.

If we play like the last two games we will get battered tonight. No doubt about it.

Having CCV, Starfelt and Abada out is a massive loss and it will effect the way we play.

If we go out there tonight and win it would be a * massive achievement even a draw will be a good result.

I’m thinking with my head not my heart here and I know my view May ruffle some feathers.

in saying that, Celtic 4-0. Hail Hail.

    Don't expect anything from tonight.

Their loss to Shaktar was a ridiculous upset...I just can't see that being repeated.

To get a draw would be good...our only loss respectfully then so far...only being against defending CL champions.

If we do get 2 points on the board from our away games when history in CL for us would usually see us taking 0...with two more promising home games to come, I'd still hold out hope we can get 2nd even with 8 points...maybe 9 depending on whether Madrid are through by time we face them and they literally throw the final game allowing us to get that final 1 point to bring it up to 9 assuming we win our 2 home games that is.

I was surprised Abildgaard didn’t start on Saturday to gear him up for playing tonight, because on paper, you would think this would have been the type of game he was brought in for. I think him sitting, with McGregor and Hatate would have been the best midfield for us. Highly unlikely we go with that given he only got a few minutes at the weekend though. A draw tonight and Madrid win and I think we would be favourites to finish 2nd. Absolutely massive game and we will need to be miles better than we have in the last two domestic fixtures to have any chance.

Case of outscoring our defensive issues I'd say.

Ferencvaros away type of performance please.

weak at the core of the team - the timeframe making a decision to keep or punt jullien (or his reluctance to go) we could have brought in some cover - i hope welsh proves his critics wrong - a goal from a corner :)

Not feeling confident at all regarding this game and i hope im wrong.

Ccv, starfelt being out is a huge blow and joe has been shaky in goals recently, would take a draw.

Not confident either, but I’ve got this feeling it will be like Betis away and we will come out flying even with a weakened team.

We will score, but we need some luck in defence.

We have to go for it as I think we will concede, I'd personally play Ralston to sure up the defence a bit, midfield will be crucial for us and if the front 3 take there chances we should have enough, but I can't say I'm confident about tonight

Julien was out of the picture here before he left, he was too slow to play the game the team plays, I lived him when he was here he was great but he wasn't the same when he got back, we have ample cover in defense, it's just a shame our 2 first choice are injured at the same time. Welsh has plenty to prove yes, it's not just him in defense though and won't be his fault alone of we concede.

It's not about a weak core, we are shaped to attack not to defend, we could try and do what the huns do sticking everyone on defense, it's worked great for them so far.... Or we go out and play our game that has been going so well (if we could just finish our chances) and have a go at it.

Also he got injured after 30 minutes in his debut in France. Absolutely delighted we got rid of him.

I'd love to get a result here but the priority for me is no injuries so I wouldn't rush anyone back.

    It's a marathon, not a sprint.

What ever result we get tonight, at least we already know that we won't go into the game like total wimps and park the bus with a five man defense because we're too scared of playing football!
