Get him out on loan in January and see how he gets on or just get him to *. No harm to the boy but he shouldn't be anywhere near that team and wouldn't be if it wasn't for injuries.

 

Welsh is a boo boy for some fans now. Wasn't at fault for either goal yesterday. Distribution was good for the most part and was the attacking CB while Jen's sat most of the time.

The whole team underperformed yesterday right from the start. Passing was off, lack of sharpness, no press and missed a couple of sitters that would have made it comfortable.

The nervousness from fans when Welsh had the ball was shocking. And that's what goes through a team.

Hatate went from sublime to ridiculous and cost us our skipper next week. The last 15 minutes or so we should have managed the game instead of being gung ho crazy. We got away with it yesterday but the "We Never Stop" mantra might cost us.

 

The Taylor and Ajer comparisons don't wash.

Ajer was 19 when he went on loan, and went from being a CDM to thriving at CB. Came back to us and never looked back. Taylor has made massive improvements but that's since Ange came in. Not because he's getting older and more experienced. If Lennon was still in charge he would be the Taylor of old.

Welsh isn't a young boy any more. I'm sure he'll still improve somewhat but he's just a bang average centre back who would probably do well at an Aberdeen or Hibs but not at our level on a consistent basis.

 

Agree with this other than the "either goal" bit, which I assume is a typo or I missed something yesterday.

Could see the crowd getting onto Welsh about the smallest things.

 

Like many players he was so frustrating yesterday.

In particular his slow nature at releasing the ball simply WILL NOT work in Anges counter attacking style.

There was one point in the second half everyone in the stadium except him spotted the wide player in space.

That said I could see him being alright for an SPL team who don’t play as fast as us.

 

Meant either goal or sending off.

 

He's 22, for a CB it's exceptionally young. Manager sees him as a player also.

 

I said at time when offered 3m etc from French team we should have taken it a good fee for 1 of our weaker players and invested it in a better player.

 

Didn’t think he was terrible yesterday he was ok just. Him and Jenz are either too slow at getting on with the ball or just panic and hit it out. Looking forward to getting CCV and Starfelt back together.

 

Jenz did the simple things well yesterday but left Welsh with pretty much all the responsibility of bringing the ball out.

 

The one you refer to he waited so long that the opposition also saw the pass, easily intercepted it and then he got booked for a clumsy tackle trying to win it back. Just about summed him up perfectly.

Youre spot on bout his slow play not suiting the style. It's worth remembering it was him that Ange went absolutely ape * at last year in the cup game v raith rovers when you could hear him screaming over the commentary

 

I thought that was Bitton?

 

You could be describing Jota, Hatate, Taylor, Maeda, Turnbull and possibly O'Reilly yesterday from what I saw. All did something similar yesterday.

 

I don't rate him one little bit..

He's brutal in my opinion..

Was a hard day at the office for him. Got it so tight off the support on numerous occasions......actually felt bad for him it was that loud..

 

Our fans are a bunch of spoiled children. Actual pure *.

 

It’s not exceptionally young. And he’s our 4th choice CB who was pushed down the pecking order as soon as Jenz came in, so I’m not sure how much of a player Ange really thinks he us.

 

No was definitely Welsh. Turned around and passed it back to keeper

 

Yeah ur right mate but the difference with them with possible exception of Maeda is that it's not a regular occurance with them. With Welsh it is

 

It is young and if Ange didn't see him as a player for the future he would have allowed him to be sold.

 

Fans being ridiculously hard on this lad.
