    Kyogo. A phenomenon
    Abada should start every game.

not only is he better, but not giving him minutes stifles his development,

it’s my main gripe with Ange despite loving him generally. It is simply not the right choice and this needs recognised very soon.

Goals win games - Abada gives that in abundance and at home on a big pitch it’s * lunacy persisting with a guy with no composure just because he chases folk down. At Celtic park v Motherwell that should be irrelevant.

Now I know I’m not at training every day yada yada so dont take it as OTT managerial criticism. But it is very clear to me we are a better side when Maeda is not in it. Especially at home.

he’s a great bench option when it’s dictated we need to hurry teams and not let them settle - fine. Great.

Today was not one of those days, and Ange needs to realise this.

I see what he offers against different opposition with his Press but today he wasn’t needed the difference down the Right when Abada came on was clear to see.

Maeda's performance today doesn't deserve the criticism it's getting from some. He actually created some pretty good chances. He was overall better than Jota, who had one good cross and then did nothing really, but was the first to face getting subbed.

He was OK today, he's better suited coming off the bench however, get him running at tired teams.

For his goal threat alone, Abada needs to be starting.

I really don't rate him as a footballer.

In some games he will be extremely useful but he isn't good enough to be starting games where we need creativity and a bit of guile. I'd rather play Forrest in games like today. Genuinely.

If Jota had burries that early one or Juranovic when he was played in with the back heel we'd be saying Daizen played a blinder. I do agree Abada should be the first choice over him though.

If he was the full package he'd be out of our price range and he is a good valuable player for us.

Wasn’t he the top goal scorer in the J-League before coming here?

Thought he started off well, created some chances down the right and some good link up play. Wasn't an amazing performance but same can be said for most; he wasn't a problem for me.

Where's he play for when he lines up for Japan? Does he play out of position here?

    Edit: Guess not!
An inverted left winger who can also play through the middle, Maeda doesn't fit the criteria of the dynamic, powerful and playmaking midfielder Celtic's middle third seems to be yearning for but instead a fast, lethal option to provide competition in the final one.

He's not a winger as has little end product, dribbling isn't great and doesnt have the skill to beat a man.

He's the type of striker mid table teams have. Runs about a lot, harrying defenders and works like * but ultimately scores very little.

    A shane long/Kenny Miller type.

    3rd choice striker nothing else

    Scored 21 times over there..

The 24-year-old is currently the top scorer with 21 goals (six more than Kyogo Furuhashi, who albeit left the league in mid-July) in a division that ends on the first weekend in December, leading to further speculation given Europe's winter window falls in the middle of Japan's close-season.

Poor touch, poor passing, not a great finisher. He works hard. That sums him up.

His highest scoring season by a mile, said it before if you look at his highlight reel from that season they're mostly scrappy goals made by his workrate, like most of his goals and assists since he came here.

Think he's been getting unfair pelters on here recently, I don't know what people are expecting from him really, he showed what type of player he is in the second half of last season after he joined. Will run himself into the ground for the team, and get a decent amount of goals/assists over the season, but he's never going to be a prolific or top class finisher.

He wasn't great but he also wasn't as bad as some made him out to be today. I much prefer him coming in off the left. He's more likely to nick a goal or create one from there.

He's a great option to have when a game calls for it but we need a creative right sided winger for balance.

I'm ok with either Abada or Maeda starting alongside Jota, just as long as it's not them starting together, as we lack too much creativity with Liel and Daizen both in the side. If Jota's not starting for whatever reason, it should be one of those two and Haksabanovic IMO.

Likewise, either of Turnbull or Mooy would be fine in most instances, but probably not both, as they're similarly unathletic.
