I’ve just been for the most massive disrespectful Jobby in history.

I couldn’t wait any longer as I was tortoising.

I don’t think my neighbour will be happy when he finds it on his Union Flag door mat.

You can express your views rationally for them to help aid their own views/path though … If life experiences are similar.. it usually pans out the right way..

There are exceptions though… where it all goes wrong.

One big one just getting the ‘top job’

You dont have to my friend. Just sneak in stuff like WHY people have the right to stand up against / be against monarchy, so he get the other side of the coin instead of being fed just one side of it. If you do that on different topics, he will eventually learn how to judge things himself :50:

I have done that with my son since early days and he is now 15, and he know stuff on Palestine, Politics, and all sorts of stuff and it has created a fantastic bond!

One thing that has really got my attention over the last 10 days or so … is how utterly full-on unswervingly pro-monarchy (and with it rabidly anti anti-monarchist) the BBC are. This is a fully publicly funded corporation that is supposed to represent the whole nation and their varied politics and beliefs.

This has been utterly cast aside in a tsunami of pro-monarchy gush that goes of any scale I’d imagined possible. I’ve avoided tv and news for the majority of the time… but you only need a glimpse at it or tv schedules to grasp the full royal-*-fest that’s been going on.

I really hope that any non monarchy loving suckers out there still paying the bbc a licence fee have a good think about what they are funding.

In sweden it is called Public Service. A channel that the tax payers pay for. Is BBC similar?

We have a show called "Lilla aktuellt" which is a news show for kids that they show every wednesday for most school children. It's basically north korea tv :56:

It’s been utterly embarrassing but no surprise from the BBC and the rest of the media.
Watching the coverage you genuinely wouldn’t think that there is any anti royal sentiment in the country at all.
It seems like it’s normal behaviour to travel the country to wait in a 14 hour queue to walk past the closed coffin of an old woman you’ve never even met.
Not sure our media are as different to North Korea’s and Russia’s as we would like to think.

I think it is one of the greatest things to happen to them. You gov did a poll in May, 32% said Charles would make a good king, this month 63%. Polls in the 6 months prior to May all had similar results of 35%. In the space of a week they have turned an unpopular Royal into a popular one. Made him into the sympathy figure of the man working hard after his Mum died.

Heard people almost greeting down the phone to Jeremy Vine on radio 2. It's embarrassing, was almost like they had to out greave each other

I posted this back in January…

:drag: Was easy to see what would happen. I hope not.. but this has probably actually set any hopes of ending the monarchy back by decades…

certainly milking this for all it's worth.

but I will admit this..... the royal death march song is a jaunty wee tune, think I'll try and get it on my phone as my ringtone.
