We could have had a stinker even if we'd picked our strongest 11. It might have just been one of those rubbish days.

I think it's an overreaction to write players off because of one rubbish result.

First loss in a year can’t win them all

There's ways to lose games, and that was honking today.

    Aye.

Reset over these two weeks, or however long it is.

Go again for another year being unbeaten.

The backup players were given a chance to prove a point today and they never took it, they’ve now shown they can’t be trusted in future.

Saying that I think Ange got the selection wrong today. I don’t think Maeda and Abada belong in a front 3 together nor should kyogo start these games ahead of Giakoumakis when up against tall physical cloggers. Mooy and Turnbull also don’t belong in the same midfield together. Not much he could’ve done about the two centre backs but wow were they bad.

More disappointed about the fact I wanted us to really hammer home the gulf this season with a sizeable points margin over them but the league is that poor they’ll still get 85-90 and we would’ve had to be near perfect to hit 100

Need to do some work on our midfield in January and get a proper replacement for Tam in so that we don't have such a big drop-off in quality when we rest O'Riley. Because Mooy isn't fit to lace eithers boots as an 8 and is too slow on the ball to start as a 6.

Same with our defense CCV needs to have better quality cover than Welsh.

Big issue of having a big squad is keeping everyone sharp and ready to step in. Welsh, Mooy, Maeda and Ralston aren’t starters or regulars.

McGregor is the only one that can play the holding role in the way Ange needs, hopefully the big Dane will be able to as well.

Unfortunate the unbeaten run came to and end but that will be a much needed rocket up a few arses and Ange will know now who he can trust to bring in.

As much as I out the result down to Ange thinking he could rotate most of the team and get away with it. It's 3 games in a row we've been unable to take our chances we need to fix that or we'll drop more points before the world Cup

As soon as I saw the kit and the wholesale changes was worried, st mirren see no juranovic, ccv, hatate oriley,GG, JOTA- it’s a boost for them straight away, that defeats on ange, team selection was woeful, gutted man, Huns in free fall and we’ve just gave them a massive confidence booster, really utterly pish

I think he was just frustrated, time wasting, 11 men behind the ball, ball boys not throwin the ball back in, eye opener for him.

Against teams that park the bus you need energy and speed. We had Turnbull & Mooy in midfield. 2 of the slowest players in the squad. GG should have started in place of Kyogo imo. Welsh can get to *. Not good enough. St. Midden are Livingston mark 2. Long throw ins into the the box at every opportunity. Our defence were very weak with dealing with them and a journeyman like Curtis Main ffs.
    Brutal performance.

i agree mooys turnbull maeda abata jens ralston should be good enough to raise their game and skelp a provincial side like stmirren but we were too slow all over the park and not physically strong enough

that performance today away from home against a wee club is very similar to a lot of performances over the years where the wee team sits back and we dominate the ball but are soooo slow and passive

i used to put a lot of the blame down to plastic pitches but it seems its more to do with playing against teams that are not interested in playing entertaining football for the fans and just want to be very physical, waste time, sit in their own box and wait for an odd chance it is the ultimate in negative football

but we should still be able to break that down and we have done it before with pace and pressure before but not today ?

1 league game in just less than a year but no doubt huns will be back on the usual gear to fire themselves up.
