But what chances you do get, tend to be easier to score from because you're breaking fast on your opponent and preventing them from getting bodies back to defend in numbers. You've got more space and less pressure on the ball when trying to score.

Teams are always going to take this approach against our style of play, just like they do against Man city or anyone else who tries to completely dominate the ball. For this reason, total chances per goals scored isn't really a statistic/metric worth measuring when determining how good or bad our defence is.
