How do you know he was third or fourth choice wgs only saw him when we played them and maybe he saw that he is a really good player and worth taking the chance on rather than sign a player who has only ever stayed at a club for a year till a better club came in.... Have faith For * sake, WGS knows what he is doing and start backing the man, and the team and stop the moaning wait and see what he is like in the hoops before you start slagging the man ....

FFS people, give the guy a chance. It's a signing after all and at least it shows we're active after weeks of * around. Loovens is young and Strachan obviously thinks he'll be able to develop. We needed players to improve the squad and i think he'll improve it. Yeah fair enough he is from the championship but Scott Brown was from Hibs and i think Cardiff would destroy hibs any day of the week.

We need to look at the bigger picture and not the league these guys are playing in. The Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in the world! There's never a clear winner each year.

This lad will be a fantastic signing for us, i have no doubt about it. Height isn't the be all and end all. I wouldn't have said Puyol was tall but he's still one of the best in the world.

I'm like most and have complained all summer about the lack of activity. FFS, now we get some some people have the cheek to complain without even seeing him in the hoops. He may pull on the hoops and be the best defender we've ever had. You just don't know what will happen but he needs to be given the chance as well as the encouragement. Look at Cuellar. No-one thought he'd be so good after not hearing his name or playing for 2nd rate spanish team!

I would understand if Strachan signed a 32 y/o but the guy is young FFS. He harbours ambitions of the national team and wants to play at the highest level. That's enough for me. Once he sees what our club is all about, he'll give his all.

Give the guy a chance and Celtic some credit for this.

On Wikipedia it said he is 1.77. My apologies if he is indeed 6ft 2in(1.88). Then, it's OK.

Mendes is pish. Just wait and see. You're only as good as the teammates around you and considering the rest of them are rank, he'll be the same. What's the point in being able to play a 50yard crossfield ball if you have Charlie Adam, Kenny Miller or Andreas Velicka trying to control it at the other end?

also I was talking to one of my mates who is a Sheffield fan and he makes "realistic" championship patches for PES2008 and he reckons he is a 5' 10" Quality CB and right footed, but hey he could be wrong and he could be a 7 foot fullback lol

Pish - McDonald was top goalscorer, chris killen - granted he's just * - and the majority at CP were happy when Riordan signed. I personally thought he would be a great signing.

How do you know that we weren't tracking Loovens - give the guy a chance he might turn out to be cracking.

Finally - even if we were signing them just so reaRangers couldn't - then fine, GIRUT!

 

The way I would put it Leone is ram your 5 foot 10 right up yer * pipe yet again another case of your spouting * without proof Canavaro is * i have heard it all now.
