Did the huns play the song or did the fans just sing it ? i thought the fans just sang it,if thats the case i guess they cant be fined.
I know we get fines for singing what they claim to be songs that are offences etc but they would say the huns singing that songs not on the list of offence-if songs(sure we,d all dissagree).

On the other hand if the club played it and went against uefa directive then theres no excuse not to fine the *.

They were never going to fine the huns for singing the national anthem. It would obviously ruffle a few feathers beyond our wee bubble, whereas absolutely no one will care they we've been fined. The fact that one case is the club actively defying UEFA and the other is a handful of yahoos at an away game doesn't really matter, it's politically feasible to punish the latter but not the former given the context.

It was announced over the tannoy that there was to be a minutes silence followed by the national anthem, therefore very much on the club and not just an impromptu thing from the zombie hoard.

I’m all for the dislike of the crown but not at the expense of big fines or partial stadium closures from uefa people will be first to moan as they can’t go. Could do it domestically for sure

whether you like it or not you enter a UEFA governed match and one of their rules is not to display offensive banners so we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I was brought up a Tim and proud to be a Tim support the banners but in different arenas not one where uefa are clearly going to batter us

will it put players off joining us with these messages and negative press we get from them?

Freedom of speech is nil now, unless you go with the status quo. Just follow the herd.

*also I'm guessing this is the first and only banner and support gestures the Ultras/support have done over the years. Baboon needs to educate himself, instead of highlighting 1 banner on 1 topic.

Fine was a nap - I’ve zero issue with folk standing up for their beliefs but let’s be honest, half these folk are guys 25-40 with no actual gripes other than hating the world they live in generally. With it being * all to do with “the crown” - driven by a few hard liners, loving the fact it rages the huns, * off with life.

I get it - but the idea all these lads have suffered directly via the crown to the extent they feel the need to take relish in the banner is a load of self-indulging *.

it’s self-important grandstanding. Compared to those of us with legitimate gripes looking back from my side from the 60s onwards it’s * nonsense. All there to stir up hatred among folk

    In my opinion

    and here comes the deluge……

Everyone has a legitimate gripe in my opinion. Whether you are 16 or 60. Why do you think people of certain ages don’t have legitimate reasons to hate them?

Folk are entitled to their opinion of course - but the idea that today a 25 year old has reason to hate the crown (unless generation-driven, which I personally / quite specifically get) is just pish.

I just see a lot of angry young men wired up and fighting a cause they have no * clue about.

it’s societal, and driven by hatred of a football team rather than the historical reality. That’s my opinion, and it is what it is.

It’s quite similar to this forum tbh. A few hard liners, majority of folk * scared to say anything to the contrary in event they are seen as being traitors so they only contribute in threads without that element of debate

I actually enjoy chatting to the hard liners tbf. It’s always good, and many are extremely bright and get me thinking about contrary opinions.

It's 25yo laddies that still live with mum and dad and enjoy being a bit edgy. That's what I mean when I say it's childish, there's no real message there, it's stuff you'd scrawl on a bathroom wall as a teenager.

You've got to take the rough with the smooth though, as it's the same element that organise the big tifos etc. On the whole they make a net positive contribution but doesn't stop you cringing at some of the pish they come out with now and again.
