Was poor for the goal, but in all honesty he has earnt a reprieve for this one.

When it happens on a consistent basis (Barkas), then the pitch forks can come out.

Anyone see his interview after the game where he accidentally hit a presenter/reporter with a ball in the pre match warm up and then apologized to her afterwards whilst also saying 'yeah that's why my careers gone where it's gone'

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but that didn't seem like a smart comment to make

Anyway, personally I wasn't wanting to go into the CL with him as first choice this season, I felt like last season he was very useful in being a stop gap during a season of transition but I always knew he wasn't at the level required for Europe and that we needed better in that position at that level, he doesn't make big saves often enough in Europe, he's no Forster because if Forster is in goal last night we win that game, Forster saves the only two efforts they had on goal, to go away from home in Europe and ask the keeper to make two saves shouldn't be too much to ask, he shrunk himself needlessly for their goal, he stands big he saves that, in the end it's the difference between 1 point or 3 points (yes we should have taken more chances but my point remains the same)

He seems like a great guy and everyone has taken to him but it shouldn't cloud the judgment that we should still be looking to do better in that position, or maybe I'm being harsh

My problem is I compare every keeper we now have with Boruc/Forster and if they aren't close to those levels I'm always wanting someone who is, I feel like Hart is a good few levels below Boruc/Forster at their best for us

I still can't work out what he was trying to do... doubt he knew either.

Agreed, he thought the boy was going for the far post and he tried to anticipate it.

I think he got caught a little bit cold, as up to that point he could have been sitting with his slippers on smoking a pipe.

The way I see it, for what it’s worth. If that’s a Celtic player scoring that goal nobody is saying the keeper should have saved that. We are all saying what a brilliant finish. Sometimes we just have to accept it. Hart has saved us so many times since his arrival it’s unreal.

Don’t think he meant to be disrespectful towards us but then you never know what’s happening in his sub conscious mind.

He lost his spot in that Man City team and the NT because he's not the best with the ball at his feet. His career took a nose dive after that until we picked him up. Nothing to get worked up about, just poor choice of wording on his behalf.

Hart played at the highest level for club and country for a long time and he's made some big saves in Europe for us and throughout his career.

And he's won 4 golden gloves.

There's 1 or 2 things you could throw his way hence why he wasn't kept on by Guardiola but saying he's not at the level required for a competition he regulary competed in isn't one of them.
