I think he set out the team to dominate them, keep chances against us at a minimum and to create chances. After that, it’s upto the players.

Thought his subs were excellent as well.

Of the team tonight only McGregor and Taylor were here when he arrived. His signings have been incredible.

    Hart
    Juranovic
    CCV
    Jenz

    Hatate
    O'Riley

    Jota
    Maeda
    Kyogo

What a strike rate that is.

Angeball is working, the players just need to work on the final 3rd and switching off once a teams scores/equalizes.

We go at Teams Home & Away in Europe.. I have never saw that in my life!

Not really the response from Ange I was expecting. Maybe heads were down in the dressing room.

Players let him down tonight. Apart from a 15 minute spell in the first half, we dominated them. Maybe he could have brought off Jota for Abada 5 minutes earlier.

Obviously just a very short clip but that response does feel very un- Ange.

Not quite sure what to make of it.

What did you guys expect him to say?

As frustrating as it was, that was one of our best away performances in Europe for donkeys years. I've never seen a Celtic team look so assured on the ball and threatening all game.

It was a massive disappointment not to win but I don't see anything un-Ange like from his comments. From his perspective (and mine), we play like that more often than not and we'll pick up points in Europe.

Aye no point in him slaughtering the players. They did everything right until the final touch.

Hindsight and all that, but should've went with Jota on the left and Abada to start.

Good thing is we are taking positives away from games.

I expected him to say that we need to be more clinical in our finishing to win games at this level and that the team would be working even harder on it in training to push on in this competition.

I think it was pretty un-Ange in the sense that he put a clearly positive spin on the game, when usually he's a bit more realistic and tbh leans a little towards being critical when results don't go our way.

I don't think he can be really happy with tonight. There is frustration there. We are still not clinical enough at this level.
And he has to look at his own game management too. We should have started with Abada right and Jota left.
Two games in a row he has brought on Maeda and he has missed glaring opportunities. One point from two games
and it could and should have been so much more.

To be fair Abada wasn’t great himself with his finishing against Madrid. Think haksa actually did well creating and holding up for first 20 then went quiet after that. Ange rightly took him off. Then maeda was unlucky with a few good blocks, but as we’ve seen maedas pressing/pace is his biggest asset to us atm. Then Abada created a few chances too. Think all over the front line we’ve been lacking in clinically finishing and maybe that’s just got to do with none of our players ever playing at this level. Must be effecting them in some way

I expected him to identify and talk about an area we could have done better in or needs more work, in a constructive way.

I believe he's pretty much done that in every other post-match press conference. Might be wrong.

He could also have done that later though as the clip is pretty short.

No issues with anything he’s said there. Could see at the end that the players were disappointed that we didn’t win, so I think he’s doing the right thing. He’s praised a good performance and behind closed doors will no doubt be working with the team on being more clinical. He doesn’t need the media trying to twist anything he’s saying

Nerves maybe getting the better of them but truth be told at start of season first two games we were terrible at finishing aswell and I know the other games were high scoring but the chances were tenfold only game I think we have been clinical conversion wise has been the rangers game I think we work on creativity more in training compared to finishing

I feel for Ange as I think he has done a tremendous job to get us to a level where we can compete in the CL Group in such a short period of time.

I feel in Europe he hasn’t had any good breaks really go his way. Leverkusen away, Real Madrid at home and last night could have all been big results for him but for fine margins.

Not sure what it is with our finishing in these games, could be nerves, you just feel even plays like Jota’s two runs last night they would end up in goals with a little more composure, just releasing the ball at the right time. Particularly the one Jota robbed the boy on the edge of the box when he went on the outside first all he has to do is slip GG in but he misses the opportunity and ends up getting crowded out, domestically he probably plays the right pass.
