Watched a couple of their home game's on sky and they play fast, attacking football from the off. Battered Watford relentlessly and didn't win..

My understanding is that he loved Glasgow.

Maybe it's just me and the way I look at the world but if given the choice between competing for promotion in the Championship or fighting against relegation in the EPL, I would choose the former. One is a positive goal to aim for, the other seems like a pretty sould destroying existence to be entirley honest.

 

Surprised by that move, but glad he is going to keep playing. I'm just wondering if he is only really looking as far ahead as the world cup, hence the 1 year deal. I know there's an option, but realistically that needs both to agree to it in a situation like this.

Steve Bruce has said in an interview that he actually tried to sign Tom earlier in the transfer window but missed out to another team. When he found out that deal ended up not happening and he was still free he moved quickly to make sure they didn't miss out on Tom a second time. He didn't say who the team was. Seems there was interest happening bts that we jusy weren't hearing about.

 

Another interview with Steve Bruce on Tam's signing from the West Brom YT channel. Again mentions that they had tried and failed to sign him early in the transfer window.


Bruce: We are delighted we gave got him. In the start of the window we thought it was never going to be possible, towards the end of the window it became possible which we are delighted about. We have got ourselves a really really good player on our hands" (you can say that again Steve)

Also talked about getting him match fit is a priority now. He just needs to find his playing slippers and he will be good to go.

 

Weird move given how much playing time he was getting under Ange. Best of luck to the guy anyway.
