Yeah hoping Brighton go for Knutsen. Not just from an Ange perspective but I wouldn’t want the Huns going for him when they inevitably sack Van Bronchorst in the next month or so.

Saw an Ange thread on a Brighton forum near shat myself only for the thread to say his wiki had been changed from Celtic to Brighton :52:

Would be a double boost if Brighton go for Bodo boss

    1. It leaves Ange alone

    2. Huns are desperate for him once they get shot of the dwarf. He's a decent manager and don't want him anywhere near that lot

I doubt he would leave us to go to Brighton or a similar sized club but I have no doubt that if he continues to do well with us (I'm sure he will) then a bigger club down south will 100% come in for him at some point and it could be as soon as next summer. This is why it's vitally important we bring in a competent director of football at some point soon, I feel that's still an important step that we have yet to take to fully transition to a modern well run club.

yeah I would be more concerned if Klopp left Liverpool due to the fact that ange plays a similar system albeit it the wing backs play different. Think the fact he has been part of the city group would intrigue them.

Had a peek on the Brighton forum...

Ange barely getting a mention. They all want Knutsen.

Not that what the fans want ever matters a pinch of *.

After what Rodgers did I take nothing for granted.. however, I believe Ange is made of a stronger character and I'm quietly confident that if they did come sniffing around he would say thanks but no thanks

    There is simply no chance.

Gonna sound arsey but anyone who thinks there is, hasn't listened to a word this man has said since arriving.

Would not be surprised if in the next transfer window Ange gets us a South Korean player - good, disciplined players.

Well put, I´m of the same opinion. However, the lure of the EPL is not to be underestimated. And to be honest, I could see the logic in Ange wanting to try his philosophy there. Every manager worth his salt wants to be at the highest level, not admitting it is deluded. And the thing is, I´m quite confident he would do a good job down south as well.

What is really hilarious at this point, is the hysteria on the dark side. Not only are they desperate for Ange to leave, they can´t wait for GvB to be sacked. Good times!

    :D

The thing is if you go down South you’re a bad couple of weeks away from the sack, regardless of past performance or the substance of what you’re building.

I’m not sure that’s something Ange would risk at the moment. He can build something of his own up here. He’s clearly more than a head coach and with automatic champions league qualification in place he can really get to work building something special here.

the father figure will not leave the japan players high and dry.
to brighton, not even a one hit wonder
if ange in the future wants to have a crack in the prem it will be for a top 6 finisher side not a half baked club who rely on players due to their proximity to the bright lights and foolish gold of london...

speak to eddie, ntcham, christie, ajer, brendan rodgers - who all become lost in the ether that is the shittyprem

premier league clubs and fans - delusions of grandeur stems from their national anthem and self entitlement

I wish the forum was loaded with Australian guys who know the man inside out and would pipe up and give us reassurance the man's going nowhere.

In my opinion the man's a football purest and would see Brighton as a step down. I think he left Japan because he seen Celtic as the perfect club for his philosophy in Europe.

Also I could be deluded. Some * fukin reassure me ffs.

Offer the big man a 4/5 year deal, just in case someone does make him an offer he can’t refuse further down the line.

Then when he does go we can cash in like we did with Mr Rodgers.

Hopefully a long way off yet though.
