Honestly, those comments from GVB make him in his job untenable. He’ll be gone within 2 weeks.

On the Brighton rumour, it's not happening. You have to remember Ange's history. There was a time where he couldn't even land a job in Australia, let alone Europe. He had to work his way up from the bottom and build his reputation over many years. So it won't be lost on him that Celtic were the first club on this side of the world to give him an opportunity, nor the support he's been shown by the fans as a relative unknown.

He spoke just the other night about the sense of responsibility he feels to bring success to this football club and its supporters, so it'd be unthinkable for him to do a runner a mere week or so later. Absolutely not happening.

I dunno, after winning the grand final at Brisbane Roar he said he was gonna build a dynasty, he left a few days later. Not gonna lie it took me a while to get over it :giggle1:

In saying that, I don't think he'll go. Too much potential here!

This talk of Ange leaving Celtic is pure nonsense. He will be at Celtic for a while. As long as the board backs him he will be staying. Just dont interfere and dont go against the mans principles. You can give him a 1 year rolling contract or a 10 year contract.............It wont make a difference.

Just look the man in the eye, take him for his word, handshake agreement. Thats all you need. Everything else is pure insecurity. Keep him happy and just enjoy him while he is here.

From the way I remember his contract was up and he was more than entitled to leave, which he did. Brisbane Roar fans have been salty ever since.

It was the right time for him, ffa and the Sydney football Mafia were never going to let him have the control he needed to fully change Australian football.

He’s also 57 so he’s not going to be like, the likes of Rodgers, Gerrard, both * and both looking like getting sacked. But were both young managers looking to use celtic and rangers as a stepping stone to the epl

another big factor, Lennon had an atrocious season so Ange coming in, people were giving him time as they knew he couldn’t be any worse than last season ( obviously he was brilliant), he goes to Brighton he’s not replacing a manager who got sacked he’s replacing a guy the fans love and who punched well above his weight with them, so it’s a different scenario, could come in lose 5 or 6 games and be sacked within a month or 2

No way Ange would leave for Brighton. One day he likely will move on but his genuine love for the club and fans will mean he stays. No false love from this man.

As much as we all love Ange now. Don't be fooled that he won't walk on us. Few days before the snake walked we'd never have thought it. A boyhood Celtic fan leaving just before a possible treble treble. Never! We all know how that turned out. There is no loyalty in football anymore. I don't believe he'll be if just now but there will come a day he'll get an offer he can't refuse and will be on the next flight out of here. As much as it would be nice for him to stay a decade with us but give it another year or two, I do suspect * be off. There's just to much money that'll be involved plus to manage better players in the prem or other top league is a no brainer. Don't be niaeve to think other.

In fairness I think a lot knew the boyhood Celtic fan thing with Rodgers was a lot of pish. Pretty sure his cousin (Nigel Worthington) came out and said as much, unless I misremember that. Also, the conflict with the board, etc.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
    Odds moving out, now 12/1

I don’t see him leaving CL football and another crack at it next season.

Any successful manager/player will come to the attention of others, it's unavoidable and inevitable, but right now Ange is going nowhere, further down the line he may have his pick of clubs, but a lot still to achieve at Celtic.

I hear ya but he still supported us. Most Irish Catholics did in the north. Wether he was like us thou is still up for debate. But , no one thought he'd jump ship so close to being a great for us. Only loyality now is to the paper. If someone doubling to quadruple your wages, they'll all be gone myself included. It's all nice and romantic saying everyone will stay for life but soon as the board see this in you, they'll play you like a fiddle. Sometime in the not to distant future we are going to have issues with the players we have, the board with Ange and everything as we know it now will unravel. It's just the way it is now in todays football world. Just enjoy it while we can.

Hes not going to brighton but this is the start of him being linked to every English club outwith the top 6 -whoever they might be - He'll be here for at least another 2 years and if he does leave theres no way he'll do it in the way Fraudgers did - He's got too much respect for the Celtic fans to do that

I think that Ange himself would say that he's by no means the finished article yet. It's all about learning and proving himself for now. He will get time to do that in the SPFL and that wouldn't be the case in the Premiership. No I think that he will wait until it's obvious to him and us that he's taken us as far as he can and perhaps has become destined for greater things. In which case he will go with our blessing.
