If you are that frail you have to cancel a video meeting…

    … you’re probably deid anyway.

    Please don’t die Lizzie !

Not until we’ve scudded Livingston anyway.

No fan of the royals and don’t think there is a place for them in modern society. Wouldn’t gloat over her demise though, not her fault thousands of mutants up here and elsewhere have aligned themselves to the woman.

Agreed. Panic sacrifice if you ask me. Reminds me of when they spent £7m on Kent when he pumped them.

I think we just get a change of words from Queen to King. Unless somehow Edward gets the throne, in which case the words are fine as they are.

Sadly…. It will only stir up emotions in the monarchists and swing those on the fence…

…. King Charles will be slotted in at enormous public expense after a funeral at enormous public expense .. and the whole outdated feudal system will continue.

Yeah not going to be jumping up and down celebrating over this, or affected the other way at all, the monarchy is an out of date institution that probably needs binned but in her lifetime it's little more than a tourist attraction, a figurehead with no power and isn't responsible for the actions of the people actually running the country.

I can see why people celebrated when thatcher kicked the bucket, she had a massive real world impact on people's lives, but the queen is just kind of 'meh' to me.

She literally tried to raid a fund for vulnerable children to fund the heating of Buckingham Palace.

The ‘she’s just an old woman, leave her alone’ patter is woeful.

I'm calling it. London Bridge is down.

All close family are with her or, are on their way. Interrupting parliament for this "health update," all over the news.

Its also more practical to let news filter around the commonwealth and world governments, before releasing the news 24hrs after and on a Friday.
