Ange ain’t leaving for Brighton lads. Knutsen’s a great manager, they’ll get him I suspect.

As an aside, we should really be offering Ange a 5 year contract and tripling his wages ourselves and adding a buyout clause.

I know one thing for sure. The hun lickspittles in the SMSM will be touting for Ange to leave Celtic as they know as long as he's here their Klub will be second best.

Managing Brighton is not a more attractive proposition than managing Celtic.
The board need to give him a new deal asap and put a stop to this nonsense.

Got a feeling he's gone soon tbh. Been saying it for months he literally admits in some of his interviews he likes a challenge and gets bored at clubs if everything's rosy. He literally said that's why he left all his previous sides

Just cause we have an early lead in the league and laid a glove on Madrid doesn't mean he's anywhere near finished here

He’s not going anywhere anytime soon, Ange isn’t the type that jumps ship at first chance and especially when he’s building something special here.

I'll not be wetting the bed anytime soon over these rumours.

Undoubtedly he will leave in time, I don't believe that time is now.

Ange won't be leaving Celtic til one of two things happen.

He is happy he has made an impact on European football with us, proving that the challenge to make us a dominant force in Europe again. Or,
The board revert to type and refuse to allow him to operate at that level - ala Rodgers., or even Lennons first reasoning for leaving the first time around.

As it stands, the board seem to be backing him and affording him the respect and space he needs to operate - so I imagine, unless we somehow win a European cup (extremely unlikely), he ain't leaving til at least the end of next season.

We are a longggggggggggggggg way from everything in the garden being rosy! Ange will know that he wont be given a better chance than he has right now to prove himself as a good European manager. He's being given a free rein within an old and proud European club with a limited budget and so far he had done tremendously well. He has certainly changed something in Scottish football. I think he has rocked the foundations in a way that no other modern manager has. He's like this big quiet Vesuvius of a man who's keeping his head down and sticking to the plan. He has a plan of that there's no doubt. If we get to 2nd in that group he will have erupted onto the world stage but I suspect even yet he wont be wholly satisfied. This is a man who is results driven and paradoxically has the patience for the long haul if it's required. He will feel that he's on the cusp of something great in terms of Australian football as well.

No chance he would be allowed to operate in the same way in any other EPL club

What he did here in Sweden is one of the most impressive achievments i have ever seen a manager do. He took a 3rd division side in the middle of nowhere (a complete garbage side) all the way to the top league and last 16 in the europa league.

Off topic but had to say it!

Brighton are in an unsustainable position just now. The only way is down for them.

Their fans might be happy to finish mid table at the moment, but one decent campaign and they'll be shouting for top 8 every season.

Joining a bottom-of-EPL team which is currently punching above it's weight is only ever going to end one way, as the snake is currently finding out.

The EPL is absolutely cut throat. Managers rarely last long and few become greats having statues dedicated to them. They snigger behind their hands at Scottish football but we have produced some of the best!
