Best team won but we gave it go, especially the first 45, then Real just up'd their game after the break.
ruing those missed chances though.

We are a very good team besides that, we just got tested by the best team in the world.

The return leg might well be a similar scoreline.
Real should win their 6/6

It's between us and the other two.
Bring on Shakhtar.

 

I felt like the first and third goals were close to flawless, very close. The second was definitely a case of the wind being taken out of our sails. We should have gotten a goal but all in all we have a good account of ourselves. I hope we can take that performance into the other games.

Can’t believe the hyperbole surrounding Modric

The guy was made to look ordinary for a large portion of that game.

We could’ve been 3-0 up inside 30 minutes. Hopefully the players learn to take their chances and we’ll thump the rest of the group.

 

I saw someone once saying it’s making the place seem far too friendly instead of hostile. I would 100% agree with that.

Much prefer raucous booing as they’re making their subs tbh. Just makes the place a little more intimidating for the player coming on

 

We are now favourites to finish 2nd, 5/4 followed by Leipzig 6/4..

 

Massively lucky with the break of the ball for his goal which isn’t being spoken about. He had actually lost it and got away with it. Good finish but he should never miss

 

Ffp should be interesting another 19!teams released that are on watch about their spends . teams are taking it serious too leiscter are on it and basically handicapped themselves this year not being able to spend Man City spent but finished on a net profit that’s not a coincidence and we just have to look at rangers they were a cert to spend but that new got released to them and they suddenly shut the purse

My admiration is based on his performances and longevity not just tonight.

Wish we had "ordinary" players like that.

I never said he is ordinary, I said he was ordinary for large portions of tonight’s game.

 

Very frustrating because we had some very big chances to take the lead.

 

Still scored a sublime goal. The things special players do when being made to look ordinary
