Scott Parker sacked from Bournemouth.

Seems incredibly harsh on the face of it. I always think you need to look at specifics of performances (which I haven’t) but if you look purely at his results, he’s beat Villa and then lost to Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool - potentially your top 3 this season.

That just seems like a panic to me. If he has easier games wedged in there he’s probably still in a job right now.

Yeah I was shocked by that one to be honest. I don't think they will get a new manager bounce from this as nothing suggests he lost the players. I think they should have given him the midweek game against Wolves, then Forest on Saturday. I think they'd have gotten 3 points there.

So it seems he was sacked for being vocal about no support from the board. While I see their point, the manager gets the blame when they relegate and their recruitment has been a bit *. Their 2 big players were a signing from Feyenoord and Marcus Tavernier. The club still has players like Solanke who flopped in the league and relegated, they need upgrading. A big problem is history has shown Bournemouth aren't very good at recruitment.

 

Could be a blessing in disguise tbh.

They’re nailed on to go back down and he would have inevitably been sacked 3/4 months down the line anyway, with his reputation tarnished a bit.

Will probably walk into another Championship job or something.

Good start for isak, have to say that league is over, no way are spurs and arsenal going to get anywhere near them.

The season is going the way it was when Leicester won it when the big boys were all off it. Unfortunately City arent.

 

Honestly if Arsenal had more depth id give them a chance they are a pretty good team.
