It shouldn’t have been but was for most of the season.

For me, when the guys doing well in his own head mentally, has a bit of fire about him and he’s hungry to prove himself, he’s a decent manager and can get guys playing for him. He was none of that in his second spell here.

Remember the “I beat Lazio” classic.

Was never his fault when we lost right enough but he loved the plaudits.

Give it a rest lads. Lennon did far more good than bad at Celtic.

But but but rangers won the league ...

Think it’s more to do with how he treated the fan base with contempt tbh.

Oh and the Huns won the league by like 30 points, and would have won it again had he stayed.

Squad harmony was a mess, players getting days off here there and everywhere, posting pics of their McDonald’s etc…it was just unprofessional as *.

The squad Ange inherited was a total mess, the man worked an absolute miracle to lead us to the title with what he inherited.

I think he behaved so bad in the media towards the fans that he destroyed his legacy here. It was not some mild talk. It was a new level of disrespect imo.

That’s by far my biggest issue with him. Zero self reflection or responsibility. See if he laid low a couple of months, came out, put his hands up and said don’t think I’m fully responsible there was a lot of issues but I completely * it…. The majority would say fair enough and move on.

Agree. And i * loved the guy before.

It is okey to be bitter and in a bad state mentally and all that, but to blast his own fans that stood by his side in the toughest of times when he was sent bullets etc, is sickening. * him (at least for untill he explains himself and takes responsibility)

And not only that, he also used our club as a marketing tool for him to get a job by spouting absolute * at our cost in the media, making both himself, the club and the fans look ridiculous.

But in some strange way, i still hope he has a successful career, and some day makes peace with the fans.

It could've taken us years to repair the damage he caused.

We struck gold when we appointed Ange. The odds were heavily stacked against him because of Lennon (and others).

He definitely did yeah, a lot of great nights.

Just pointing it it’s not just losing the league to Rangers that’s caused the bad feeling between him and most of the support.

Yup, and I think originally the same when Lennon took over from Mowbray.

And I always think it’s worth noting, it wasn’t just down to Lennon, people blaming just him let the board away with murder.

Its all about losing the league.

Lennon brought us our greatest European success in the last 12 years (beating Barcelona, Lazio home and away, topping the group).. and the lowest lows.

Personally I think it's nonsensical to say he's a bad manager.. just completely can't accept when his times up.

    This.

He shouldn't have been re appointed on a permanent basis anyway at the time. But we move.

If Celtic hadn’t rapidly deteriorated and if it become apparent that we weren’t falling apart, he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to express how toxic he is and show what he really thinks of the people that contributed to making him a millionaire.

You discover the real side of people under challenging times and when under pressure. Lennon’s ego couldn’t take being mildly criticised when in truth he deserved much more. Had there been fans in that stadium he’d have been gone by November.

Tony Mowbray was a massive failure at Celtic, Ronny Deila also under the circumstances. Are they hated by a section of our fans? No. Because they have a bit of humility and accountability within their character. The issue is not the success on the park, I assure you.

Even now, the man still hasn’t come out and offered an apology to our supporters for the way he treated them, or accepted a grain of responsibility for the worst Celtic team I’ve seen in my lifetime.
