This! It's on the "be great to see" list, but not on the "needs done as a priority" one. Definitely wouldn't be investing in it over other infrastructure or team development projects

Full revamp outside would be nice as well, get all the metal framing covered with something permanent rather than the banners.

Celtic Park is 1990s stadium. Its retro and gritty in places. Our stadium far rivals the modern stadiums of today. Steep stands. Rail seating. History. A window into the past.

The eyes of the South stand date back to 1969. Its a time capsule steeped in history.

The hallowed turf graced by the legends of the past. The eyes of the window box have overlooked everything in that time.

A phoenix rising - from the ashes. A house of steel. And 60,000 Celtic dreams.

It seems to me that the issue is that the old stand needs replacing. So what should be done, replaced with a similar size one or a bigger one, to increase capacity to say 75K? Would be daft to just replace like for like. If it were replaced with a 2 tier stand, top tier of say one of the stands behind the goals could be closed for most games.

Think a higher stand may also prove problematic in terms of the pitch.

Remember our 1st year back at Celtic Park and that side of the pitch was in terrible condition. If you look for highlights of 2 - 1 win v Dundee utd in Scottish Cup in 96 on YouTube you'll see what I mean.

We had to replace roof in main stand with a clear 1 that summer to allow more sunlight to hey to the pitch.

That was 25 years ago tho so maybe grass growing has evolved since then

Edit - heres the link to the game..... Well worth a watch for last 2mins alone

I liked the old banners that went around the stadium going through all the eras. Not sure if this will look as good in my opinion.

    But anyway, as you were.

I’m convinced they put them up because they can’t be arsed paying someone to paint, clean or properly renovate the place.

Fantastic place to watch football and atmosphere is second to none, but it’s starting to look run down in places (especially when you see concrete crumbling on the stairs), the toilets are a wreck and the food is *. There’s a lot of potential there if any thought was put into it.
