    Don't get this tbh, he's not a bad player, but he's also not the type of player we need, and if he's coming in instead of a Number 6/CDM I'll be really disappointed. We'd as well have kept Rogic if we're replacing him with a player like Mooy.

    Dunno how reliable that journalist is, hoping he's miles off it.

    See if this had been a Mooy type player from 17/18, even though he is more attacking I would have been up for it as he was a real all rounder in that Huddersfield team, also had good drive and ball carrying skills from CM.

    But at approaching 32, I don’t get this move at all. We need an athletic ball winner who is tidy on the ball and reads the game well. All of Turnbull, Hatate and ORiley have looked very good so far in preseason.

    McCarthy has continued to not look at the races. McGregor is our only realistic option as the deepest lying CM and I don’t see signing Mooy changing that.

    Will wait and see if this is true but for me there is so many other types of player we need before a Mooy. It does make me fear our budget has been spent on keeping Jota and CCV, who were players we had last year on loan.

    They are both good players but it does mean from a player perspective baring Bernabei we are where we were then without Rogic of those who played a big part.

    Just can't get enough
    Little bit underwhelmed but don't get the "Terrible signing" patter. There's still a player in him. It's no gamble being a free transfer and has experience. If we've signed him instead of DM then I'll be disappointed but still think we'll get someone else in. People saying he doesn't fit in Ange's style.. didn't he play under Ange for Austrailia?

    Mooy is going to take months to get up to speed.. he hasn't had a pre season.

    Why exactly was Ange going on about "patience" in the transfer market like Mooy wasn't already a free agent..
