They guys clearly uncomfortable on the left side of Defence he constantly was hesitating and doesn’t look comfortable passing with his left foot. Get him out on loan see what he’s like a year down the line, he’s above the lowland league in level either way.

We’d be as well moving this to ex-players after that performance. IMO.

Seriously though, him jogging back as the Banik player slotted home the other night was the moment I thought he’s not ready to step up yet.

Need to get him a good loan and experience of proper fitba.

Worrying the way he has played in the last two games.

It boiled my * that he just gave up in the last game and walked back instead of trying to make an effort to run back.

Needs a loan for first team football, or we use him as a CDM.

Based on that performance, I’m being serious. I said it in jest a bit, because it would be completely idiotic to write a youngster off after 15mins, but it was arguably the worst I’ve seen for the time he was on the park. What did you think of his performance?

Obviously not ready to step up into the regular first team squad but would like to see if he could get a loan to get regular football and then assess him.

You’ve said he’s worse than Du Wei in “a third of the time”. Hands down the worst kind of fan going.

I said he eclipsed him performance wise in a shorter period of time. Based on today, that isn’t far fetched. He pretty much lost possession every time he touched the ball. In what way is that hands down the worst kind of fan :56:.

As I said previously, I wouldn’t write the boy off at this stage. That cameo appearance today though was arguably the worst I’ve seen. Du Wei being the other, but there wasn’t a lot between them. Did you think he done ok?

You have written him off, stop contradicting yourself. You’ve said he’s worse than Du Wei in a shorter amount of time.

    Absolute psycho behaviour.

At what point did I write him? You’ve jumped the gun.

You didn’t answer my question either by the way, what did you make of his performance yesterday?

    Psycho behaviour :giggle1:. Easy tiger.

Aye that for me was pretty poor. Don't know if he was completely lost, or just didn't give a *, but either way, he looked well off the level we need him at.

I've high hopes and think he can go far, but he needs proper game time and development.

The lowland league is utter nonsense for a guy in his position now. Needs loaned out to s Ross county or down to league 1 down south.
    At least

I mind a boy at one of the pressers last season asked Tommy McIntyre in what manner the Lowland League would give the youngsters the preparation to step up to the first-team, given the massive quality difference between Lowland League football and Celtic first-team level. I remember he failed to actually answer the question and just waffled on about how playing "men's football".

That's all well and good, but there's still a huge quality gap we need to try and bridge when it comes to our youngsters making that step up from Lowland League level. It's as if it's designed for players to always head out on loan to a higher level before being ready for the Celtic team. But can we honestly say we get anywhere near enough loan deals done for our young players every summer? No chance.

So long as Lawal continues to play Lowland League football on a weekly basis, he'll always be miles away from the first-team. That's a problem that's going to ripple through our youth squad too.

It’s all well and good saying he needs a loan to an SPL team, but if any teams were watching him yesterday, why would they want him?
