Only in Scotland would people seriously try and argue that Giakoumakis is even close to him never mind better than him :giggle1:

Has anyone actually ever said that? Like, I think it’s quite clear that Kyogo is the better player but GG is probably the striker we should be playing against Rangers and in Europe for the most part.

Aye. Kyogo is several levels above and should be starting every big game for us.

I’d disagree mate. I think if we play a ferencvaros or someone who we would expect to control the game or have the majority of the possession, yeah definitely kyogo. If you’re going up against one of the big boys and they’re going to control the game and be pretty much dominant from the start, you need a physical outlet to hold up play and bring us up the pitch.

Definitely a horses for courses situation. Wee Kyogo is world class imo, some might see that as over the top, but his movement is unbelievable, and is clinical as *. Really do think he's an elite level player.

But as you say, big GG will be more suited to certain types of games. His physicality will be vital for us against good teams.

So you agree that Kyogo is definitely the better player, but we should bench him for the biggest games of the season?

100%. You just need to look at the weapons on Twitter - there's genuinely hoards of the weapons that think GG should be the starter.

Well it is a legitimate dilemma.

Kyogo is the one I'd want starting most games. I feel he is better than Giakoumakis. There's just something dangerous about him, particularly against all other SPL clubs.

But against the Klan I think Giakoumakis' physicality is something their defenders just can't deal with whereas they've handled Kyogo quite well every time he's played them.

    Same here.

Kyogo was brilliant in the groups and crucial in getting us there against Alkmaar too.

In any other group we go through, basically.

Good to have two good strikers that we can rely on though.

Giakou definitely made the bigger impact in the 3-0 game. Kyogo not had that big Derby game yet so I can see why people prefer Giakou in those games, as things stand.

Kyogo will cause havoc this season against them though, I’m sure of it.

I'd be more concerned about the midfield than the strikers - it's the middle of the park we've been bullied recently. If we take control there and get numbers forward than we don't need to worry too much about a physical striker.
